Can we hire Derek Mason?

Okay folks let’s slow down and focus on the future. Why have we never thrown more money at coaches, coordinators? If we want to compete then we are going to be aggressive not passive
Good Lord, is that always the answer? Ask T A&M how backing up a truck full of money works.

Jesus dude. Our defense gave up 530 total yards. Allowed 11.5 yards per pass. Allowed 255 rushing yards. Missouri was 11-17 on 3rd down. You really need to start watching the games more clearly.
Jesus dude. The offense did nothing.
The Defense was on the field for 40 minutes. To the offenses 20.
The offense turned it over 3 times.

The Defense gave up a lot of everything except points in the first half.
They surely weren’t good but Jesus man did you watch the game??
They only had 22 after 3.

If the offense did anything, anything at all it’s within 1 score at worst.

I’m surprised the Defense was still standing in the 4th.

This fan base is about to have a double dying cockroach death if someone doesn’t get aggressive with the hiring and start making some moves
We need the players to execute more than a new coach.

That's the post. Anyone who can make Vandy's defense respectable needs to be given a look.
I’d hire him to replace Martinez in half a heartbeat. I’m still not convinced Banks is the issue when our secondary consistently sucks as it does everywhere Willie has coached (and been subsequently fired, including here once already)

Because he’s not a very good head coach. That has nothing to do with someone’s ability to be a successful coordinator.

Baylor is #88 in total defense, #98 in scoring defense, #98 in 3rd down d and #94 in 4th down. So you think that he can't help the Baylor defense, but he can make an already Top 25 defense better?

For the umpteenth time, yes. If I had my choice between Dave Aranda and Tim Banks I would choose Aranda without hesitation. As would just about anyone who watches football.

What did he do at LSU? The last time he was a DC?

Heupel won’t fire Banks. I think he likes him too much unfortunately.
If Heupel retains Banks much longer, he will be leaving UT with Banks. Banks isn't the answer, period. If Heupel can't go out and get a much better DC and White keeps retaining Heupel, White can hit the door as well!!! I said this a long time ago. Not many would listen. You believers that think Banks is ever going to be an ELITE DC in the SEC are delusional. If UT wants to make it to Atlanta often, UT can't rely on the O to get it done all the time. Look at LSU and other teams that have good O's and below average D's!

YOU ARE CLUELESS! The D was on the field 40 minutes because they gave up 530 yards to an average offense! It had nothing to do with the O play of UT! The D couldn't tackle a slow fat kid today. They cover in the secondary very seldom. They never play bump and run. They let teams throw underneath all day long. They never turn around to make a play on a ball and get a pick. Was the O pathetic? YES!!! But, the D was MORE PATHETIC! Letting one dude from the backfield have more than 300 yards is PATHETIC! You don't let the O convert 64.7% of the time on third down and expect to win a game!!! If the D played all year like they played today, the D would be DEAD LAST out of 130 teams on THIRD DOWN DEFENSIVE CONVERSION %!!!

7 points. 3 turnovers. Only were able to stay on the field 20 minutes.
Yeah I’d say it’s about 75% on them and 25 % on the D.

I guess you think they played good enough to win?
I didn't say that. The defense gave up a first down when we had them on their own 1 inch line.... among others. Shrader set a record I believe as well.

YOU ARE CLUELESS! The D was on the field 40 minutes because they gave up 600 yards! It had nothing to do with the O play of UT! The D couldn't tackle a slow fat kid today. They cover in the secondary very seldom. They never play bump and run. They let teams throw underneath all day long. They never turn around to make a play on a ball and get a pick. You’re clueless. Was the D bad yep.
The O going 3 and out and not scoring and only able to stay on the field 20 minutes didn’t have nothing to do with the D staying on the field 40.
Clueless.
3 turnovers didn’t have anything to do with the D having to go right back out there?
Clueless!
I blame the 3 points at the end of the half solely on the offense. - Mizzou should of never had the possession.
7 points on the Milton Interception.
How many of them 600 yards came when Mizzou should’ve been on defense.
You’re to clueless to understand any of this I’m sure.
