Can we trade punters?

I hate this punting philosophy... If we can't find something better than this we might be in trouble...I just don't understand who on the coaching staff thinks this is alright or the best way to punt the football

The punter runs sideways by default. He has 30 yards of free space in front of him and he still runs 20 yards sideways before he kicks it. Did they not see this in practice ?

Sounds juvenile, I know. Our punter is not only not good.....but..he is also the weirdest looking punter that I have ever watched. I watch him and think....I don't understand!
Well hopefully the coaches know better than us, but it look sketchy. I gotta think there are some high schools kicker that would do just as well. But we are just dumb fans.

Why? He is only averaging 6 yards more per punt, and that even includes the two shanks by Ross. Do you people absolutely have to find someone on the team to complain about? It is game ONE. If he doesn't improve, then complain!😡

Two shanks in game one does not bode well for the young man.

He got better as the game went on. I write it off as the first game jitters. Unlike a lot on this site, I don't freak out if every single player doesn't have a perfect game the first game of the season. From what I saw, he might want to roll to the left and go with the left foot more often. Most improvement is between game 1 and game 2.

This is the first game punting for UT for Mr. Ross. If he continues to struggle, I will then worry. The last two punts were much better.

Gives gunners time to get downfield. Not necessarily a bad thing.

You're kicking the ball with your body half-turned to the right, which has to make it harder to get your foot solidly on the ball. That said, he's an Aussie whom I assume is used to kicking the ball Aussie rules style, which is the technique he seems to be using for us--but you wouldn't know it by the way he was shanking the ball today.
