I trust them to report what is happening. Some will express their opinions on whether or not it was too heavy of a hand.
I trust every source I use to be more fair and balanced and truthful than Fox.

A Canadian MP says the bank account of a single mom with a minimum wage job has been frozen after she donated $50 to Freedom Convoy.

Conservative lawmaker Mark Strahl says the mom, named only as Briane, has had her life ruined for donating the small sum to the anti-vaccine mandates protest.

'Briane is a single mom from Chilliwack working a minimum wage job. She gave $50 to the convoy when it was 100% legal. She hasn't participated in any other way. Her bank account has now been frozen. This is who Justin Trudeau is actually targeting with his Emergencies Act orders.'

I can't find a denial anywhere, Trudeau sidestepped the question and he damn well knew it was coming so if it were false he would have unequivocally denied it.

After seeing how Trudeau handled this situation over the past 2 weeks this shouldn't surprise anybody. It feels more and more like the majority of the propaganda is coming out of the left.

RCMP has lost all credibility. These are the same people who tried to claim that this poor old lady through a bicycle at them. I wouldn't put anything past these scumbags. The sad thing is they just turned their backs on the very people who have been standing up for them the past 4 years when everybody was calling to defend the police.

The agency said while it had sent financial institutions a list of accounts to monitor and freeze, those accounts belonged to “individuals and companies suspected of involvement in illegal acts,” such as “influencers in the illegal protest in Ottawa” and vehicle owners and drivers “who did not want to leave the area impacted by the protest.”

Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland echoed those remarks at a news conference Monday. She said people who were not directly involved in the anti-pandemic-restriction protests should contact police if they believe their accounts were unfairly frozen. But she cautioned, “It’s important to be sure that the account is not being frozen for any other reason.”

Strahl was unavailable for an interview Monday.


So the guy who posted the tweet is silent. Everyone else denies the tweet.

They have not denied it. A denial would be "we have not frozen any accounts for simply donating".

So they aren’t freezing any bank accounts? You've went all in on one example without addressing the actual issue. If anyone has had their accounts frozen it’s bs and an extreme overreach of the government.

I'll be happy to go on record. I think there is less than a 10% likelihood that the story is true (and I'm being generous).

I think it's a better than 50/50 chance it's true. It may have been a mistake but in either case the fact IS Canada is seizing bank accounts from people that supported the protest.

I never said that. I addressed the issue that people were having their bank accounts frozen for simply donating $50.
I don't have much of a problem with them freezing the bank accounts of truckers who refused to move their truck.

I wouldn't have much of a problem with them freezing the accounts of any BLM protestor who is caught looting or vandalizing.

I would have a huge problem with them freezing the accounts of BLM protestors who were not caught doing those things.
