That they are looking at crimes committed?
Of course, that's all they are looking at.
Like only looking at auto deaths, COVID deaths, gun deaths, etc....

I thought you were likely missing the point of my question, and I'm not playing games attempting to catch you in something. I'm simply attempting to use logic to explain the difference between what I witnessed and the reports you're citing.

If the protests are judged by crimes committed and the reports associated with those crimes can you see why there would be so few crimes on the record? The police were intentionally hands off no? I witnessed many crimes go unfettered. It was a free for all in many cases. There are further issues to parse as well, like where does the protest end and the riot begin.

When you make a comment about a big event and are only talking about a small percentage it would help if you mentioned it was just a small percentage. As it is he lumped them all in there.

I could list endless links of guns used in crimes.
I could list endless links of accidental gun deaths.

I see your point and thanks for being civil.
I know so many people that attended so many rallies and none had any issues with violence.
I know violence. and looting happened, it's inevitable, but it happened at a very small percentage of protests. And even at those it was usually after the protest had ended and idiots hung around and acted the fool. That's simply a fact.
The rightwing attempt to portray the movement as violent is as transparent as can be.
I just hate that people are so gullible and unthinking.

How many posters here (other than me) make it a point to talk about the small percentage of BLM protests that become violent;
and then even at the small percentage of protests that include violence, it being only an extremely small percentage of protestors who are violent?
