They are also putting other people out of a job.Clark, you do realize that 90% of the truckers there are out of a job because of this mandate right now don’t you? Truckers are undoubtedly mostly conservatives if I had to guess. Not only that but they also work alone or with ONE partner. This was just an attempt to target conservatives. There is no need for them to take the jab if they feel it’s unnecessary as they don’t work in a “populated” line of work.
No, I'm perfectly aware that things are going to be shutdown and people's livlihoods placed in peril. Not any different than what the government did with these lockdowns and mandates.Or like explaining running a business that could be shut down because of this to somebody who assumes the next paycheck will automatically show up next Friday.
I'm sure the business owners affected by this are grateful for their awakening.
Ive never felt the need to exercise it, but I'm a believer in civil disobedience. My protest shouldn't F innocent people. I don't have any desire to issue beat downs in the parking lot at Bass Pro.Desperate times calls for desperate measures and if you were in that position, I refuse to believe you would be putting a business there in front of your own families needs
Oh here we go again with that bs. Is that your “go to” when you can’t defeat an argument?Ive never felt the need to exercise it, but I'm a believer in civil disobedience. My protest shouldn't F innocent people. I don't have any desire to issue beat downs in the parking lot at Bass Pro.
Edit: shouldn't have started another Bass Pro fight.
OK, so know you have me interested. It seems like you disagree with the way the truckers are protesting because it is not targeting the govt.I don't like it. I've said so. That doesn't mean I think the truckers are heros. They aren't hurting the government, they're hurting their fellow citizens.
"Oh, let's blockade a downtown and a border crossing and assume the people subject to the blockades can get the blockaded items."How do you know that the downtown Ottawa businesses are hurting? All those protestors and curiosity seekers got eat and shop somewhere. I'm sure they not going to the suburbs to shop at Walmart.
Stop working and allow others that are willing to do the job do it. If other truckers agree, it may affect others, but they aren't actively stopping the business activities of third parties. A blockade prevents resupply by others that are willing to do so.OK, so know you have me interested. It seems like you disagree with the way the truckers are protesting because it is not targeting the govt.
What would be your suggestion for the truckers so that they are able to directly affect the govt and minimize the amount of collateral damage to everyone else?
Interesting. If enough of the other truckers agree, then wouldn't we be back to where we are now? Where supply chains are majorly disrupted?Stop working and allow others that are willing to do the job do it. If other truckers agree, it may affect others, but they aren't actively stopping the business activities of third parties. A blockade prevents resupply by others that are willing to do so.
It's not a "blockade" of Ottawa. Goods and supplies are getting in. The fact is your don' t know. You're just a pissy liberal that's crying because conservatives are protesting. I don't remember you posting this much whining when blm and antifa were rioting and looting, you supported that shi$. All you're doing is trolling. And as far your ignorant little jab about dover, I'm from Clarksville."Oh, let's blockade a downtown and a border crossing and assume the people subject to the blockades can get the blockaded items."
Sounds like Dover logic.
