Canada's Truck Convoy to Protest Mandate

How many millions have they cost by blocking trade routes? I'd just like to see some consistency on here for a change. Y'all said anyone that blocked a road should be run down and murdered. I just want to know if that still applies, or are you showing your true colors?
There's a distinct difference in a protest and a riot. I realize your side doesn't distinguish the two but there is a difference.

I skipped all 91 pages of this thread, but I just want to ask one thing. Are the same folks on this board that so vehemently supported running down and murdering protestors with their vehicles willing to do the same thing with these folks?
IIRC I thought it was more protesting in the road and blocking traffic shouldn’t be allowed. But nobody gets driven over unless the protesters are violent and attacking the vehicles/people in the vehicles.

At least that’s the way I remember it mostly.

And when the exercise of someone's rights impede on another... one has to give. It is not a right to block public travel. PERIOD. You're trying too hard.
Except its not a right to move about freely. And really by freely you only mean by car in this case. If these protestors were blocking ALL movement l, you could maybe have a life and limb argument. As you argue it some people's comfort trumps other people's rights, and I think that stance is wrong.

It is a right to protest.

No where have I seen it defined that a protest cant block traffic without permission.

At least one Canadian businesswoman claimed on Tuesday to have received threats after appearing on a list of alleged donors to Freedom Convoy protestors hacked from the site GiveSendGo and shared with media.

Tammy Giuliani, owner of Stella Luna Gelato Cafe, said she has been forced to close the doors of her Ottawa business due to threats from extremists after her name appeared on the list. The Freedom Convoy is a protest movement calling for an end to all civil rights violations imposed on Canadians allegedly to prevent the spread of Chinese coronavirus.

“We got a call from the team saying, ‘We’re getting phone calls here,'” Giuliani told the Ottawa Citizen newspaper and added, “I said, ‘What’s going on?’ and they said, ‘They’re threatening to throw bricks through our window. They’re threatening to come and get us.’ We said, ‘Lock the door and we’ll find out what’s going on.'”

Has this been verified in any way? Trudeau looked at the military option and was denied?

Trudeau] said in his press conference that he's not going to call in the military, and we were all laughing because our response was, "Yeah, you tried that last week and the military said, ‘Thanks, but no thanks – this is not in within our purview.’" And many of us have families in military and policing, and that's how we found out

Those protesters that this board wanted to run down and murder in the street also thought that was a "real cause". So you only agree with freedom of speech and demonstration when you like it, right?

You shouldn’t be skipping pages and you would already have seen that has been discussed to death .

Blocking of emergency vehicles is okay? There is a right to assemble there isn't a right to impede on others. There isn't a right to prevent people moving about freely.

Link to emergency services not being able to access something? I have seen videos of the cops with access. I am fine with fire trucks bulldozing vehicles as needed, guessing Canada has the same fire hydrant laws.

Again these are peaceful Canadians, you are acting like some small subset is burning down buildings and smashing people in the face and imminent life saving care is needed......

Your entire argument points put how this is a political matter and not a practical consideration.

Buildings arent burning down, people arent dying or suffering needlessly from a lack of care due to the acts of these protests. Or at least no evidence has been presented. But when that stuff does happen here you dont hold the same standard.

Do you believe the driver in Charleston was in the right? I bet you cant give me a consistent answer. Your hypocrisy is no better than theirs.
