There's a distinct difference in a protest and a riot. I realize your side doesn't distinguish the two but there is a difference. How many millions have they cost by blocking trade routes? I'd just like to see some consistency on here for a change. Y'all said anyone that blocked a road should be run down and murdered. I just want to know if that still applies, or are you showing your true colors?
IIRC I thought it was more protesting in the road and blocking traffic shouldn’t be allowed. But nobody gets driven over unless the protesters are violent and attacking the vehicles/people in the vehicles.I skipped all 91 pages of this thread, but I just want to ask one thing. Are the same folks on this board that so vehemently supported running down and murdering protestors with their vehicles willing to do the same thing with these folks?
Except its not a right to move about freely. And really by freely you only mean by car in this case. If these protestors were blocking ALL movement l, you could maybe have a life and limb argument. As you argue it some people's comfort trumps other people's rights, and I think that stance is wrong. And when the exercise of someone's rights impede on another... one has to give. It is not a right to block public travel. PERIOD. You're trying too hard.
Trudeau] said in his press conference that he's not going to call in the military, and we were all laughing because our response was, "Yeah, you tried that last week and the military said, ‘Thanks, but no thanks – this is not in within our purview.’" And many of us have families in military and policing, and that's how we found out

It is a right to protest.
No where have I seen it defined that a protest cant block traffic without permission.
Link to emergency services not being able to access something? I have seen videos of the cops with access. I am fine with fire trucks bulldozing vehicles as needed, guessing Canada has the same fire hydrant laws.Blocking of emergency vehicles is okay? There is a right to assemble there isn't a right to impede on others. There isn't a right to prevent people moving about freely.
