Ol Lame had more injury stoppages in the 4th quarter than a Premier League team has ever had in a half. There has only been 1 game in the history of the Premier League that ever had as much stoppage time (and that involved a guy getting neck braced and carted) as what happened during the 4th quarter of the game of the Ole Miss game
Yes it was very soccer like of ole lane

And it’s being used against ole Lane in recruiting.

What do you 'know' about alcohol? I don't mean that in a derogatory way either, but I have always found these drink experts to be FOS. Robert Parker comes to mind. "Notes of cassis and earth ... with raspberries and tangerines". What a crock of sh!!te. But he sells his 'ratings' to Wine Spectator for what I am sure is a bundle and the elite eat it up. What people like is a personal experience. What is 'good' or great is an opinion.

I know what to look for in age statements. I can blind test at high rates on a wide variety of spirits and wines.

I can taste gins and tell you, without being FOS, the three primary botanicals in it. Sure, a great deal of sommes and critics are full of pomp and take it way too seriously, but I can tell you why a 2 year old rye isn't worth 80 dollars. I detest overpriced product. I will champion the depth abd complexity of OGD bonded bourbon in efforts to talk people out of drinking pappy.

I think integrity is most important, and I stick to those guns in my work.

Imagine a tattted up millennial dude with a full beard whose palette has been damaged by smoking and vaping for years telling normal people what they should like drink wise.
That’s how silly some of this is

Plenty of things damage your palate. I don't see where tattoos and facial hair factor into your point. You just sound like a party pooper, which we all know you are. It's comical at this point.

This is a fair statement

I wasn’t talking about you specifically

Just out of curiosity, do you really think that everyone has the same tastes for any food or drink? Just because you think your pallet is sophisticated, and you think you know what tastes good, do think people that don't like what you do are unsophisticated?

If I authored programs that catered to men of my taste, the business wouldn't be able to put enough butts in the seats to stay open.

Unsophisticated? No. They just aren't as into it as I am. Simple as that.

I appreciate what you said here more than you will realize because for one you validated my 'feelings' about this subject. It is precisely those sommes and critics that cause the product to be overpriced to begin with (again, my reference to Robert Parker). I loved it when 2 buck Chuck came out and those people were absolutely losing their minds. But I still say that all this talk about tasting chocolate and cassis (whatever the hell that is) and ozone or whatever is nothing but hyperbole to sell product at inflated prices and make those pompous assed elite feel good about themselves. Knowing what is in a spirit is different than touting it as being superior to others based on its' taste, and I applaud you for that, because taste is... well... a matter of taste. That being said, in many cases, price does reflect quality but it is not the sole discriminator by any means precisely because it is manipulated by these people.
