You know more about this than me but my impression is that people still make a difference. If two schools offer equivalent packages, what else would be tie breaker but the coaching staff and team vibe.

Also, I would like to think that recruits are not just complete mercenaries. So, they might take less (so long it the amount is above a necessary threshold) to play for a coach they are excited about.

Do you think it is just about the $?
No. It’s that HBH club and the legion of LV bluehairs blew it by not getting on board with the new program in the athletic department.

Something like, competitive intensity or fearless determination or super macho, tough guy face that makes women swoon.
After posting that, I did an internet search and one serious suggestion, by a psychologist or some such, was Goliath Syndrome. You're pretty close. Another was Rested D**k Face.

I am starting a gofundme to buy all the blue hairs a lifelong supply of Clairol. They can "does she or doesn't she" themselves to new outlooks on the world!!!

I guess you'll find out after the season. I'll bet that you see some transfers out if their package doesn't match their market value. Obviously, Talaysia is going to need more money. It's my understanding that Jewell got Vol Club money to stay this season.

Remember that all the recruits that had Tennessee on the top 10/5/3 lists under the previous staff that went elsewhere? It was the money that kept us from getting them.

The money helps but any program that's serious about winning has that now.

Coming into this season, the question was whether Tennessee would keep its tournament streak alive. Well, Tennessee is now 17 games into the season and is literally two shots away from being 17-0. And several of these players are playing at a much higher level for Kim than they had ever played before, whether at UT or at some other school.

So...you get the NIL bucks, you get to play an exciting style that wins, for a coaching staff that makes you better, at a school with seven national title banners and is hell-bent on doing what it takes to get more.
