Can't blame the qb for this loss.

I agree, Milton wasn't as crisp but he wasn't the problem. Our linemen took the second half off and our secondary broke down like second quarter of the Florida game.

BS on the Kickoff fair catch, BS on calling defensive holding when the ball was thrown 20 yards out of bounds. BS on another play from Milroe where I forget if it was a first down or, TD But the Bama OL has a fistful of 27s jersey right in front of referee and it wasn't called.

The problem is that everything has to be perfect for him to be good.
Don’t disagree. Thornton drops one inside the 5. Wright was contained and WR struggle to get loose. Campbell and Dane in the 4th were liabilities

Big difference in play calling from the 4 than the 24 on the fair catch call.

Dane and Campbell looked like backups in the 4th
The offensive line production we have gotten from this group is incredible. We have theee guys laying that likely wouldn’t anywhere other than maybe Vandy or MSU in Lane, Davis, and Crawford. Unfortunately, that has gotten exposed in our two losses. The PFF scores for LG have been atrocious most of the season and RT has been really spotty too.
When the big blowup happened with the Gump, the lack of OL recruiting in his last year is showing. Our better older players went to the league, the bad ones are still here, scholarship restrictions crushed portal addition numbers, and we have a bunch of young guys who aren’t ready.
This is and was always going to be a rebuilding year.

Yeah, I thought Milton played well. LT got killed on the fumble play and then didn’t actually follow his man to contest the ball. Milroe got the same fumble but Bama players tried to help. I thought Milton outplayed Milroe overall

The difference in the game was we can't score TDs in the red zone. That falls on the QB.
It's not all the QB's fault. It's the poor offensive play calling. We should be running the damn ball in the first place, not freaking passing in red zone! We often only needed a few yards to score. Shame on the play calling!

The whole season is because of the QB. This offense isn’t sniffing what it was last year. If Hooker was back this year with this team we would easily be undefeated.
And if my dad was a lady I would have 2 moms. Bottom line was that Hooker was the best quarterback in college football last year.

You can’t expect every QB going forward to be that good. Tennessee spent the next 10 years after the NC trying to find another Peyton Manning-esque QB, and it never happened. Hooker was that level of QB here and you aren’t be able to replace him each year with a clone.

No hold on Baron for the first TD is unacceptable after the half
Bama was getting their hands inside the collar of the shoulder pads of both Baron and Pierce. Im not blaming the refs for this one though. This is all on CJH in the second half. Period. The 4th down calls are terrible. We couldnt run it up the gut all day long. Butnon fourth down you run it up the gut like they wouldnt see it coming. IN SHOTGUN. This is bad. We are a 7-5 football team. We lose KY, Mizzou, and UGA.

In our eyes he was solid. He gave us our biggest win but failed to show up against UGA or USC.

Milton is limited, but with McCoy out, Squirrel is the only legitimate receiver we have. We have to recruit better at WR because we need a lot of help. Most of these guys aren't SEC caliber.

Milton played his ass off and he deserved the win today. He is not without his flaws, but he showed up & did his part.
I agree that he showed up to play today but red zone production and poor play calling killed us. 404 yards of total offense and 271 yards of passing is respectable. Bama only had 358 yards of offense and 2 turnovers. Vols should have really won the game.

Thornton yes that was a bad drop and I don't recall him getting a target after that. Warren no, ball was thrown too high and no touch. As usual with Joe.
Athletes gotta make plays and both balls were high but make a play. Burton made a behind the route catch while getting hit just to get a first down.
