What I want OE is for the extremist in all applicable areas is to more to the middle, and the resolution thereof.

You act as if profit margins are outrageous in the health care insurance industry. It is my understanding that the profits are very low by percentage.

But once free enterprise (capitalism) has been marginalized there is nothing to stop the government from walking all over us. I trust big government much less than I trust big business.

Big business gives me a job at a competitive wage, big government makes sure I keep much less of my competitive wage.

I understand where you are coming from by wishing all extremists were more towards the center. I just find it very odd that you seem to celebrate a leftist who doesn't resemble a centrist in the least.

With this industry under so much scrutiny. Cooking the books is not outside the realm of reality (legally or other wise). That and look at all the unnecessary expenditures in Advertising alone. The free perks for doctors and nurses across the country has to astronomical. The payment of multimillion dollar bonuses is a perfect example of making (charging) to much bloody money. No pun intended.

Even a low percentage of a multi-trillion dollar industry is Billions.

I just seem him as a counter balance to those who have the opinions of those that are closely represent by the majority on this type board.

You don't think our government (current one included) cooks the books?

I think something needs to be done, I just think giving our already bloated and out of control spending government even more power and money to blow isn't a very good idea, no matter who the president is.

Who represents the majority of this board as you see it?

I see as many opinions from those like OE, BPV, VBH, pj and myself those like us as I do from those on the far right.
