Capitalism: A love story.

Oh the irony.

“Look, you know, I mean, I make documentary films,” said Moore. “So, clearly, I’m not loaded in the way you described. But I do well, obviously because my films do well.”

“So, that means I have an extra responsibility to make sure I spend my time trying to make things better for the people that don’t have what I have, right? I mean, everybody should do that,” he said.

Jesse Watters of FNC asked him a similar question and Moore's reply was, "I like irony."

Moore has a agenda and twists the truth for his benefit, just like alot of these right wing wacko idols some of you worship. There really isnt a white knight in any of this..

did Lawgator tell you to type that?

Even he wouldn't go there supporting a clown sniping at the hand that made him rich. I assume even he finds the Joe Kennedy type very offensive.

Just because i dont believe everything Fox News or Rush (not the band) spews out of their blowholes dosent mean im a libtard. I just happen to digest issues for myself before the two sides get up on their soapbox and tell the fine pawns of the world what to think..

If you think anything thats based on ratings or movie ticket sales is all truth and no twisting or sensationalism, i have a Vandy SEC Champs t-shirt to sell ya..

I don't believe, nor agree with everything they say either. Yet you implied that I do. That's very LG-like.

wow, I agree with you here, but I have no idea why you're directing it at me. If you can find a single post of mine where I made that assertion, I'll quit these forums forever.

Excerpt from Investors Business Daily - Thought you guys might like it.

Moore has found a tax break for corporations he actually likes. And his arguments in favor of it sound more like they’re coming from a supply-sider than the populist he professes to be.

Michigan, where Moore lives, offers the most generous tax breaks and subsidies for filmproducers in the country. Foreverydollar you spend making a movie in Michigan, taxpayers will give you back 42 cents. Moore actually relocated his postproduction team from New York City to Michigan just to take advantage of these tax credits. But Moore is not just a recipient of these tax credits. His hypocrisy goes deeper. As a member of the Michigan Film Office Advisory Council he has been a cheerleader for them. Appointed to the post by Gov. Jennifer Granholm in September 2008, Moore sees himself as an ambassador who will help bring the film business into the state. And how does he profess to bring the film business to Michigan? By offering it tax
breaks.
...
These generous tax credits mean that Michigan taxpayers are writing large checks to major Hollywood studios. For example, taxpayers sent $5.7 million to California-based Parallel Mediafor shooting “High School,” a school stoner film, in the town of Howell. According to the Michigan Film Office 2008 annual report, taxpayers paid out close to $48 million to Hollywood studios to create 2,800 part-time jobs. According to Moore, these tax incentives — imagine it! — “will mean jobs and money being pulled into Michigan.”
