Car Repainting

I finally shot some pics to post. Anywhere you don't see a reflection on the car is where clear coat is missing. The black handle is a replacement because one night I was shopping late and went to put the bags in the back seat and the handle just snapped off. I found a replacement on Amazon and bought it and installed it.

Saw a guy paint an old black Cadillac with a can of gloss black and a paint brush. He was a house painter by trade, and enjoy the alcohol. The darned thing turned out pretty good. :)

In the Knoxville area does anyone know of a decent paint shop for repainting a car? I'm looking at getting a 2000 Honda Accord repainted, and obviously not looking to spend excessively or over what the car is worth. If anyone has any good experience or info feel free to share.
Came across this post on Imgur today. Dude roller painted his car. With patience and a lot of sanding, the end result looks really good.

It would take you forever but Ive seen roll on paint jobs like the one listed above look decent. All about wetsanding and polishing. As stated before, prep work is key.

It took the guy 7 days to just do the hood. o_O

Ya. If you drive something else it could be a project just doing a panel at a time on the side. If its a daily it would be easier to get a shop to do it.

I thought about that, too. But it doesn't make any sense that a single panel should take 7 days. There is a finite amount of time in the sanding, painting, and allowing paint to cure. The conclusion i came to is this guy drives it daily so his time is extended.

We used to give my friends ford futura a fresh Krylon paint job before we went cruising!
