Didnt mean for this tread to be another online battle of politics.... just a simple history lesson.

Steve Kiner and Vol fans bannered the phrase "Archie Who?" before the 1969 game with Ole Miss based on the 31-0 drubbing Ole Miss took in Knoxville the year before, Ole Miss fans responded after the infamous 38-0 rout by Ole Miss in Jackson with "You know damn well who!"

History is great to study. It has a tendency to repeat itself with those who pay it no attention.

DeSantis just went under 50% in a recent poll, same poll had Crist finally overtaking him as a favorite.

Perhaps Ron thinks going full trump and mixing it up with Biden will shore up his slumping popularity.

Poll: Ron DeSantis approval rating sags as COVID-19 rages

Ron DeSantis' approval rating tanks as COVID delta variant ravages Florida

Florida poll: DeSantis falls behind Crist as COVID-19 cases surge
Reactionary fear polling. Once the Delta moves out like it has across the rest of the world it will go back. I shudder to think how screwed FL would have been if Gillum was in office. People will remember that more than anything

The polling is really getting to a point it does not matter. Clinton and Trump were close to even, same with Biden and Trump. Whoever the GOP nominate will get within a few points of 50, either way. Same with the Dem nominee, Biden or otherwise.

The war is now being fought in the trenches. It's why the GOP where it can is throwing up hurdles to voting by Dems. It's why Dems are working to make voting easier and more convenient for It's own constituency.

Anyone speculating on 2024 based on polls now is just nuts.

Voting restrictions are a Dem lie. Bidens home state is more restrictive than GA and so is CO. You continue to fall for the narrative

So now somebody who didn’t even get elected 3 years ago is going to scare people into voting for DeathSentence a year from now?

So as there’s been no proof of wide scale voter fraud as the GOP claims, there should be no need to pass new voting laws. They literally made up a problem so they could grab more power for themselves. That’s the GOP lie.

They aren't new laws. The Dems simply want these one time pandemic exceptions made into law. There's no need and the new rules in GA actually decreased restrictions

Yes. The thought of FL being treated like NY or MI would scare a lot of people. Knowing how close we came to a Gillum nightmare should definitely be pointed out

The lie is anybody sticking their head in the partisan sand and pretending this is good vs evil rather than politics as usual.

So people should vote for DeathSentence this time because a guy 3 years ago might have won but didn’t, but what if he did win 3 years ago? So people should be scared of something that didn’t happen?

So when Republican led state legislatures don’t like the way an election turns out, then they just claim “voter fraud” without any proof and declare the GOP candidate the winner, what then? All this time the GOP screams about how Dems just want power and run our lives, but they are actually setting themselves up to be the arbiters of elections and who wins?

Yes because it was absolutely a scary possibility. Or a Dem in the gov seat and we're closer to that reality

What DeSantis did with the FL covid response is with discussing. I don't lie many of his policies but that one was correct. The alternative would have absolutely sucked

Republicans: "We want small govt"

DeSantis: "I will pull funding to any school that mandates masks"

Republicans: "What a great leader"
If he banned kids from wearing masks, I'd agree with you. But banning a restrictive policy doesn't make the ban itself restrictive.

He banned local govt or boards from mandating masks. It is restrictive and intrusive. He would not like the same to come from the feds

Is his ban backed by legislation giving him the authority or is it by executive decree?
