Walking down the aisle at the grocery store tonight I see this really tall guy w/ these almost Harry Carray glasses, half grown out Mohawk and tats on his neck and think to myself “look at this crazy bast…”then I realize it’s Cherokee Parks. Good to see Chief is doing well.

Wow! He was always a free spirit for sure. Felt like he had a tough act to follow with Laettner. But he was solid for Duke.

I’ll actually upgrade this: Kyle Filipowski is RJ Barrett 2.0. No better way to keep both teams in the game than to feed Filipowski.

This team needs Roach back desperately.

The difference is that Barrett wasn’t the best player on the team. Filipowski is the best option right now and this Duke team still doesn’t have an identity on offense. I do think they’re improving though. I know one thing, Lively isn’t the best recruit in the country. Not even close. He looks disinterested or lost half the time . Roach needs to get back and Whitehead needs to drive the ball. Duke can still be a good team .

I’ll agree on the difference part, but if they don’t change his game, the ceiling is the roof and it’s not very high. Whitehead continues to improve literally with each half. But Filipowski has to learn team ball, or March won’t be very busy for Duke basketball

Tough days on both ends of 15/501.

Better days ahead for both programs, but this is about as bad as I can remember both being at the same time.

And UNC loses to Pitt in Chapel Hill. Great. The only time I don’t want them to lose.

I’m going to withhold judgement . This time last year after the Duke game in Chapel Hill I thought it would be a short tenure, then UNC went on that crazy run. I still think Carolina is capable, but I also thought people undervalued Manek moving on.

I’m actually ok not being included.

Duke and Carolina are similar in that they both have major flaws that can be corrected before March imo. However, there’s not a lot to suggest they actually will be corrected. A healthy squad might help Duke and Davis figured it out last year for UNC. So we’ll see what happens

You were a bit snippy last year when I commented on the final UNC-Duke game, and I got a bit snippy back at you. But, hey, we are all a year older, a year wiser, and neither team is a world beater this season......so maybe this is the year UNC and Duke fans meet, heal, unite, and begin a period of 15-501 detente. An unheard of period of peace and demilitarization of the Chapel Hill/Durham border. Kittens, bunnies, and unicorns dancing outside the DeanDome and Cameron.

And we can ALL agree that Kentucky is the true focus of evil in the modern world.....so there's that. :cool::cool:o_Oo_O
