Every other sport adjusts for the intangibles. Don't see what the big deal is with a basketball team having to do it for once. Golfer's, QBs, kickers, etc.. all have to adjust to wind. Now rain, is a different story.
It would not be a problem if every basketball team played every game exposed to the elements. The fact that these elements will play into UNC and MSU's RPI (MSU will most likely have to rely on a higher RPI come the end of the season) and not in any other teams is where I find fault.
(For what it's worth, I find domed football fields horrendous.)
Michigan State -v- UNC
MSU AD Mark Hollis has been working on this for about 5 years. Marketing genius.
Word is that the rain that was predicted earlier this week is going to push back to Early Saturday morning, so they should get this in without rain issues.
I used to work for the staging and seating company (many moons ago). It is a very cool operation.
Wish I was there for this one.

I'm a Tarheel fan, but I would like to say thanks to Hollis and those at MSU who made this happen. I hope the weather cooperates and that they get to play it on the deck afterall.
Sounds like the weather will indeed cooperate. game is at 4pm SD time, and rain looks like it will hold off til after 9pm.
This is a great event already, and I know that the game itself will be memorable no matter what the score. I just hope MSU can hold it close.
Good luck tonight, it is always cool when MSU takes on the big dogs. Hasnt worked in our favor enough times, but this is good stuff.
