carter on Israel

Remind me how Israel got its status as an independent country. Oh, that's right. Whining and crying to the international community. I could go "capture" my neighbor's condo. It wouldn't make my claim thereto legitimate.

The land occupied by Israel now, once belonged to them. The Palestinian claims are like that of a car thief who has had your car for a month. "I've had it a month, that makes it mine."

Israel got back what was rightfully theirs.

Here comes the God Squad. I'm stunned it took this long.

I wouldn't care if they had given them all of Germany.

Germany is the only European nation with backbone. We should have given Europe to Germany, and split Russia between us.

Instead we lost half a million American lives, fighting for a bunch of ungrateful peasants.

When do the Native Americans "get back what is rightfully theirs?"

I had you pegged as a Nazi sympathizer. Good to see my powers of perception are still keen.
You had me pegged wrong. Contrary to your beliefs, you don't know everything.

I base my feelings on the ingratitude of the European peasants. The last sixty years have shown they weren't worth saving.

To be fair, no one truly knows who owned the land at the beginning. Neither was a religion/force/state or whatever you would call them before any known recorded history.

If you go by the the most dated history it belongs to the Jews. However it goes against my argument that they lost it in war.

The Palestinians however were not a recognized state nor well liked among the Middle East until after WWII. Then they became the darling of a new conflict.

Actually, by that measure, it belongs to whichever conquering force that occupied and controlled the area at a given time. Pretty much every competent dynasty had a turn.

Okay, That is completely wrong! Germany could not be more of a pansy state than it is now. And Russia was on the victors side or did we forget the whole premise to the Cold war?

France, Belgium, The Netherlands....none worth saving. France should be booted from NATO.

BTW, my Dad joined the service December 8, 1941. He spent nearly four years he didn't sleep in a bed. He went with Patton from N. Africa across Europe.

One incident I will never forget. France refused to allow America to fly through it's airspace to reach Libya. His comment stays with me. "I saw too many good men die for those ungrateful bastards."

I wouldn't generalize a whole country based on its airspace policy 65 years ago.

Okay and I will counter that by saying both of my grandfathers were not allowed to parade through Paris thanks to De Gaulle. It has nothing to to do with the prospective Pansyism of Germany.
