CBJ Monday Presser:

"We are looking to be 1 & 0 going into the off season."

Interesting.

"You have to work on your "craft" at all times"

Never heard football called a craft.

"I see tremendous strides and progression in many areas."

'Success isn't totally measured by a bowl game."

"I see the progress everyday; sometimes that is not measured by wins and losses."

:)

Talk amongst yourselves.

Healthy attitude to have IMO. Put it behind you, it was a rough year but had some great moments. Let the UK game serve as some momentum going into the offseason and just get better

Need to end the year on a positive note by beating Kentucky. Recruiting is going well and we need to add some positive stuff on the field.

Apparently CBJ has been reading from the Jim Chaney head coaching manual.

Wth...if the Vols have a good season in 2014, it will sound profound.

Regardless of what happens this Saturday, this has been an abysmal year. Getting beat by teams with comparable or less talent (Missouri and Vanderbilt) and getting beat by injured or poorly coached teams (Georgia and Florida disrespectfully) has me doubting the future.

Its an effort to make something positive out of something that is not. He is the one that made making a bowl game the season's goal. He's repeated it numerous times. Now he's trying to redefine "success".

Coach speak...good grief, what do some of you expect to hear??? We just suck? I am of the attitude that he seems to have as well, lets just go get this win, end this horrible mess on a positive note, and get to signing day so we can have something positive to look forward to. I am concerned that this team will find motivation against Kentucky though, im not sure we even go win that game up there, but at this point, doesn't really matter except it gives us all a positive end to this season and maybe helps with the mindset a little bit going into the off season.

and it has everybody doubting your knowledge if you think UT and Mizzou's talent/situation is even close to similar

One thing that stood out to me was his comparison to the first season at Cincy when they went 4-8. He said that team had some upperclassmen emerge going into year two.

He then said it would be critical for ours, namely Curt Magitt, to do the same.

Basically him saying don't expect a lot next year guys.

Boy the negavols are out in full force this afternoon! Flame on with your ignorance as the majority of volnation watches with amazement how life has passed you by. For the life of me I can’t figure out why you guys are not college coaches making millions of dollars. We tried somebody with your negativity (Dooley) and you see how far that got us. Just sayin …

The fans are to blame for what takes place on the field? Has the stadium been empty? :/

You wouldn't be impressed with anything he said, would you? Describe for all of us the right thing to say after Saturday's loss.

your prob right on that. i would have settled for we didn't play very well, didn't execute very well, the staff did not do a very good job all year getting the kids ready to play. these things we have to work hard on in the off season and need to bring some more speed in to help us turn things around. instead we got dooley part 2.
