CBJ post game interview

Not sure if the tears was because he let down his players by telling them if its close in the fourth they would win or if it was the cheers from the fans as his family was walking off the field. Either way butch and players needs to hold there head high. It was a great team effort by everyone involved. The wide recievers ran better routes today. Worley threw better passes.

Yeah, and either way...the tears came from heart and leaving it all out on the field. So impressed!

reminds me so much of dooleys loss to lsu in 2010. almost but not quite. we got to rebound from this.

To each his own, but I must say that this game is not anywhere near the same area code as the 2010 LSU game. Poor coaching was what gave the LSU game away at the end. Today, coaching and superior effort gave us a chance. The game was lost only because "Pig" Howard was trying to make a play at the end. There is no sin in that!

I think Butch left it all on the field tonight.

I am EXTREMELY PROUD of our team and our coaches! They definitely gave their all for Tennessee in this game, and I truly wanted to cry with them...

I truly BELIEVE that this game, while a loss, will be the point where we kick over the tombstone of the past failures and use it as a stepping stone for a bright future!

GO VOLS! BEAT USCe! :salute:

From what I've seen & heard from CBJ thus far, that's the only way he does things. His energy level is pretty astounding. So proud of the all our Vols today. We don't claim "moral victories", but we know progress when we see it.

I'm glad to see that Bajakian is very capable of calling good plays in the clutch, particularly with all the complaints about being "vanilla" and "predictable." The whole 4th quarter, particularly the 4th down calls, as well as the OT calls were stellar.

What we saw yesterday was a QB stepping up and an Offensive Coordinator giving him more plays as a result. It was awesome and it will get better!

These kids love the coaches they are playing for and the coaches love them. This is the way the dynamic should be. Remember these days for this is the beginning of the Vols rebirth and rise to glory. The rest of our schedule was put on notice last night. These kids are hungry and will not give up. We will get that elusive signature win and break this cycle.

Team 117, I believe in you and so does the majority of everyone in Volnation. Go Vols!

That I interview gave me goosebumps. You are witnessing a coach who actually cares. I think we will be just fine and if neyland rocking the way it was last night didn't impress the recruits nothing will. I'm obviously biased but I've been around sports my entire life and nothing matches a sold out nail biter at neyland.

I'm very proud of the fact that Butch brought his balls today. The play calls in the second half were great!

IMO...leadership is emerging in a variety of ways on the hill.

It all starts with Coach!!! He has installed the word LOVE into the family...and that is the nucleus that builds atomic energy!

No! Dooley screwed that game with his ignorant too many players. Butch Jones called a play that was a touchdown in overtime. If that ball isn't fumbled through the endzone we probably win. Major difference.

Such a good looking offensive performance.. I loved how the tightends and fullbacks were utilized and the misdirections and reads came together. I was waiting for the coaches to trust Worley with the option read pass plays and he did great!

Well, the hurt is the same. But don't forget, we lost to LSU as a direct result of Dooleys inability to coach and just get the right number of players on the field.

Feels good knowing that we now have a coach with the stones to trust his team and go for it on 4th down. Feels real good.

I think our team found their stones last night too. I'm looking forward to a confident offense and good defense here on out.

That's the number 6 team in the nation and we pushed them to the brink of loss. Dooley would have lost it in the 3rd quarter. Good Jon CBJ and VOLS
Dooley wouldn't have made any adjustments when we were down, Butch had balls all day how many 4th downs did we go for? I was there with my son and was very proud of our team even after a loss, it hurts but like everyone is saying it's about to wake us up..
