AJ is too slow for the NFL imo.

His best 40 time, 4.62, would have finished 4th in the combine this year for linebackers.

His worst, 4.85, would put him in Te'o territory. It will be interesting to see how well he does. Hopefully, the new training program helps him with his, as CDD would say, "fast twitch".

Really? Kinda depends on who my QB is. As good as Clowney is, he's a DL. QB is the MOST important position to have. And Bridgewater looks way way better than any QB in this years class.

I hear what u are saying but Clowney probably could have entered the draft this year if he were allowed and been the number one over all pick. Clowney is an instant impact player and gets better the more games he plays.

How the hell are there already 2014 predictions even before the summer of 2013?

I guess the same way there are already 5* star players at the HS level. But your point is valid. It's all speculation and it is the off-season. Gotta talk about something.

man if this shakes out like they say it will and Jacksonville has the number one pick if they draft anyone but Clowney first then they don't desrve to have a franchise that is just stupid to even consider drafting Bridgewater over Clowney. I'm not knocking Bridgewater at all but I am saying that if I have the number one pick then I am picking Clowney no questions asked.

Clowney against Roos would be an awesome matchup.

Unless it is an absolute slam dunk, there is no way I'm wasting a 1st round pick on a qb or a rb.

Love him, but AJ is not a Top 10 pick.... Think Ray Lew then AJ, not even close, plus factor in Team's needs and boom second or third round. Just look at our "all world" QB from this draft.

There is no way Tiny doesn't go top 10. He is much much better than either of the OT's picked 1 & 2 this year!

Seems like everyone is trying to determine draft picks by the caliber of each player and not considering team needs. Clowney is a stud no doubt but if a team is set on DE's and is in need of player at another position he will fall like anyone else.
I seem to remember a big slam dunk, "everyones #1", from a few years ago named Reggie Bush and people thought the Texans were out of their mind for passing on him but that seemed to work out OK for them.

I tell ya one thing if I'm going to take a quarterback first I'm going with AJ Mccaron especially since he will have his third national title in a row and probably be a hiseman trophy winner, that's the only Qb I would consider taking first over all if I really needed one.

Hopefully UT can have a good year running the ball. The entire OL and especially Tiny/James didn't get enough looks given how well they played.

For UT to have passed it as much as it did... to only concede 8 sacks all year is insane. That's #5 in the country. Of the 4 teams above Tennessee, only 1 team attempted more than 400 passes and that was Tulsa. Tennessee attempted 477 passes and gave up 8 sacks. That's disgusting.

This wasn't the dink-dunk 3-step drop that UT had with Ainge when UT only gave up a couple of sacks all year. This was the Bray-show where he was looking for a 60y TD every play.

Bridgewater is that good? I had no idea he was #1 pick good
Yeah, he's the real deal. Insanely accurate. Prototypical size.

I think it's between he and Clowney for #1. Really just depends on where the team w/ their QB situation. Raiders, Jets, Jags, would almost certainly go QB.

You're joking right?

Aj has no arm, isn't accurate mid-deep routes, folds in crunch times, etc etc.
(Remember A&M )
The only thing he has going for him is he had great leadership quality and is a great game manager.
