I think many don't hate Pearl as much as they do the ones who dangle from his nuts and whine for him to come back and buy them pizza and t-shirts again.

I'm just playing. Very nice comment from Pearl, and i agree with it 100%. I am kind of curious how this statement came about though. Did someone ask him a question or did he just come out and say it? If someone asked, then I'm okay with it.

Whatever he was thinking, I appreciate him saying that. He still has a lot of supporters among UT fans, obviously, and some of them won't accept CCM because he replaced "their" guy. Maybe this will get a few of them on board.

we were having a cook out at coach Pearl's house, and coach Pearl told me and Shabaz Muhamed about how good of a coach Cuonzo is. Nothing more...

Great to see the Pearls still supporting the Vols. Classy comments by Bruce. Would find it difficult to believe that any great Vol fan with intelligence would find them any other way.

I flipped through Rucker's Twitter board when I clicked on the link in this thread and saw that Clay Travis tweeted at Rucker that Clay still considers Stokes to be a Pearl recruit more than anything else. Wow.

Not really, despite what happened with Pearl his impact on UT's men's basketball program can't be understated. Personally I think he handled himself well through a difficult time and handled his dismissal with class. On top of that, even after all that went down he still stumps for UT, you can't place value on loyalty. That being said, I have no problem whatsoever with him offering his opinion on the program or coach, it's not exactly like the guy is constantly trying to steal the spotlight or anything like that.

I've always been an advocate of giving credit where it's due, and a Pearl deserves credit for showing class and humility in his gesture. Great job.

Great job is right - in coaching and in handling his firing. He is rooting for CCM. He is a VFL.
