CFN predicts Florida win over Vols.

While I'm no stranger to snicker at the rotting zombie that is CFN, their Tennessee-Florida prediction is from outlook articles written in the preseason. I'm gonna guess they'll change their tune when we get to Week 3, especially after that Utah game. Probably tell their ghostwriters, or whatever AI writing program they use, to write a "Tennessee win" story.

It’s hard to win down there. Granted we have been down but haven’t won there since 05. This is the year that streak gets busted
Would it surprise you to learn that over the past ten years, 15 teams have gone into the Swamp and kicked gator butt? Including such stalwarts as Vandy, Mizzou, and Georgia Southern?

* 2022 - Kentucky and LSU beat Florida in the Swamp (they went 6-7 overall)
* 2021 - Bama beat them in the Swamp (also 6-7)
* 2020 - LSU beat them in the Swamp (8-4)
* 2018 - Kentucky and Mizzou beat them in the Swamp (10-3)
* 2017 - LSU and A&M beat them in the Swamp (4-7)
* 2015 - Florida St beat them in the Swamp (10-4)
* 2014 - LSU, Mizzou, and USCe beat them in the Swamp (7-5)
* 2013 - Vandy, Georgia Southern, and FSU beat them in the Swamp (4-8)

Our long streak without beating them at their home has more to do with us having been in our Dark Ages than it does to do with any mystical advantage conferred by their home stadium.

It just seems that way because we've been mostly focused on our own troubles.

We're gonna rip them apart in the Swamp this year.

Go Vols!

I'll be so happy for errbody to stfu about the gaters, JP. How long has it been since we beat Alabuckinfama at home? We see people here always saying "We" hate Bama more than anyone, but it seems like "We" are always talking about the gaters.

I really hope all the superstitious monkey woman little feets voodoo fear gets rip out of every Tennessee player, coach and fan in the chithole that is the Swamp on the 16th.

Amen.

That would be, yeah, awesome. Like how you named it, too:
superstitious monkey woman little feets voodoo fear
Heh. Good name for it.

Back to beating Florida in the Swamp, just realized this: over the past decade, every single team of the SEC East has beaten Florida at their place, with two exceptions: Georgia, who always play them at neutral-site Jacksonville ... and the Vols.

It's time to complete that collection.

Go Vols!
