Tennessee being tested like this(along with the rest of this season) will pay off tremendously in coming seasons.

Tennessee keeping this game close will be even better.

We all know what a win would mean.

Looks like it's going to be another hot game day. Predicted high temp of 87 for Saturday but of course only 73 on Sunday. High temps is probably not a good thing for our defense.

Yup, I agree...this pretty much sums up all the predictions etc....No need to talk about a victory...not saying it cant happen..and if it were to happen....well...no need to talk about it...WE ALL KNOW WHAT THAT WOULD DO...Play hard...play smart...dont get rattled...and enjoy the experience....Reminds me of the 1986 Sugar bowl pregame talk....No chance...

52 - 20. Some of these guys are complete idiots. Oregon isn't even the best team we will play this year and those teams won't be putting up 52.

If we can't move the chains they could...

I think the odds of the same score from last week happening is highly unlikely.

However, I think we'll be able to run the ball successfully against Oregon just like we did the 1st half of the last meeting we had against them. If we don't turn the ball over and eliminate a snowball of big plays, I think we can hang with them til the end.

As we've seen, this football team is a lot more discipline than the last couple of years and I believe we will see a lot more trick plays than in the last couple of weeks that will allow us to move the ball. Hopefully, we show Oregon what the SEC is all about.

What do you guys see the o/u on rushing yards vs. the Ducks?

With better backs than T Poole and a good offensive line, I would say probably 140-160 combined.

If we manage to get 200 rushing yards, the game will be a lot closer than many predict.

Sounds about right.

Unfortunately; It does. It's one thing to be positive, but we must be realistic. Oregon has WAY too much speed for UT'S Defense. They will probably score every possession, we maybe 60%. This wont be pretty. 30 point blowout is what we'll see. I hate to think of it.

The only score I think Oregon won't make is 4, 4 is a very tough score to get. They could do it, but if so, it means that we either stopped them, or made them punt the ball back to our offense at least once. The odds of that are very very small.

Any other combination (including 11) is very possible, they are a pinball machine, never know what comes up, but 4 is not going to come up.

Not as good as bammer; for sure, but without bammers speed on D, they will run us ragged. Bama would whip em; like LSU did----but they both have/had top 10 talent 3 deep! WE DONT. yet

I really wish we had die hard true fans on this site. True fans don't predict a defeat, they believe their team will win. I love my Vols and I believe in the ability they have to win week in and week out. Until that last second tics and a L goes by our column, I believe we will win! Be true to your team! Go Vols!
