CFN Vols at Oregon prediction

I sure wish we had Maggitt at LB. We could use his speed. I wonder if the coaching staff will consider red-shirting him? I hate to lose a year of eligibility if he can't get on the field this year.

Am i missing something? Is Maggitt out for sure? I haven't heard if he's a go for sure or not.

Bama could beat you 35-3 and look more dominate.

Lol. If anybody knows Bama, it's Tennessee. That's far off from the final score that will happen this year. Even our boy Kiffin gave Bama fits his first year here (lost by 2 if not for a shi**y fg kicker) and they went on to win the NC that year. Shows you how bad Dooley truly was.

Fans quickly forget this is a predicted 4-5 win Vol squad and now some fans are predicting we beat the #2 team in the country on the road? How many SEC road games have we won in the last 5 years? The odds makers have probably got this one correct, unfortunately. In 3-4 years we'll see a much different team with top talent.

we will win in Autzen..believe it...they don't have the caliber of lines hat we do and Chip Kelley is not there any more to hold them together hen something bad happens..

It is still a question mark how we will play against a high caliber team. I could see this being a blowout and I could also see this being close. We haven't really played anyone yet. But neither has Oregon. Many people making predictions right now are just throwing ESPN-guided darts. I hope Butch makes it a game. We will see in 2 days!

For some reason I have a good feeling about this game. We may not win but I don't think we will lose because of coaching. It will just be being outmanned. But for some reason I have a good feeling. Can't wait to see what happens

I can't see us holding them below 30 points minmum. I can't see us scoring more than 35 maximum. That means if we play our best on Offense and Defense, we win.
We must pound them into submission to accomplish this. Which likely means trailing well into the third quarter without panicking and changing the gameplan - continue to grind and push that DL around, wear them down, and run at will in the fourth Qtr.

I'm looking for about a 27-17 Oregon lead mid way through Third Qtr. at which point TN starts imposing its will.

The key to how your day goes is Worley's play. If he has good pocket presence you have a chance. If he is the type to get happy feet and can't make completions on the fly, or move up in the pocket, he's an easy target all day long.

All of the teams that have beaten Oregon since 2009, save for LSU, have had either mobile, professional level QBs, (Luck, Prior, Newton, Hogan?) or professional level pocket passers, (Barkley, Moore).

Canard, like the avatar. I have cracked myself up with my own clever one-liners. None of which are appropriate to be shared on this board. Thanks for the pick-me-up, though.

Yup, I agree...this pretty much sums up all the predictions etc....No need to talk about a victory...not saying it cant happen..and if it were to happen....well...no need to talk about it...WE ALL KNOW WHAT THAT WOULD DO...Play hard...play smart...dont get rattled...and enjoy the experience....Reminds me of the 1986 Sugar bowl pregame talk....No chance...

I've still got a "Vinny Who" button around somewhere.
