Quite interesting since I was told that the committee cares about ratings, brands, etc and doesn’t really do what they are charged with doing- choosing what are the best 8 at-large teams.
I was told they are really lackeys for ESPN and whatever ESPN wanted would be how it ended up…and yet, here we are with a “disfavored” team beating out the sport’s #1 brand name.
Now will anyone reflect on this information and say, “heck, maybe the committee DOESN’T look at non-football factors”, especially in light of the fact that it was TCU chosen over Bama 2 yrs ago and Cincy over ND the year before that?
