CFP National Championship: Ohio State vs Notre Dame Jan 20 7:30 ESPN

I will be pulling for ND, and it’s honestly just because I’ve realized that I like Freeman. He seems like a very good coach, and possibly an even better person. Also, I just can’t stand Ohio State.

Although, my worry is that Freeman and ND win, and then at some point, possibly soon, in the future, Marcus Freeman ends up the HC of Ohio State. I really like Freeman, I just don’t want to see him at Ohio State. That could spell very real trouble for the rest of us.
I bet you most Buckeye fans want him over Day.

I agree, I would bet a great many Buckeye fans would like to have Freeman. Hard to replace a coach that just won a National Championship though, especially with that winning percentage. Silver Linings!!!

I don’t think Riley Leonard is that great of a QB, but he is a tough kid who has made enough plays. I actually think if he wanted to, he could make the Irish basketball team. He was a good high school player .
I was surprised at their low rankings which tells me you just never know.

I’m pretty sure 99% of y’all are gonna be rooting for Notre Dame tonight.

I’m all Vol, my dad was a Physics professor at UT. We moved to Columbus when he got a job at OSU. Great for him, not for me, especially being born in Michigan and loving and growing up in East Tennessee. Once a Volunteer always a Volunteer unless I guess your paycheck came from a different university.
Anyways, I’ll be going over to his place to watch the game and obviously rooting with him to beat Notre Dame.
Go Bucks

Who are y’all cheering for?

There's the "it" factor at QB. Some guys just have that special something that makes them great leaders who just excel in critical moments. UGA had one in Bennett. We had one in Clausen. Guys who didn't jump off the charts in physical ability but made up for it in..well...moxy. Those guys just had a burning desire to compete and win. They had an edge and were competitors. The laid back, easy going guys usually don't fare as well.

OSU likely will win, but you can bet I'll be pulling for ND. Having said that, we need to force them into joining a conference. Being an independent with the built in financial benefits just isn't fair.

As much as I want to pull for the team that I believe will win, I can’t. I’ll be rooting for ND 🤮. But I like Freeman, and it will be interesting to see how OSU fans react if they lose. Mostly, I just want to watch a good game. I will not be disappointed if either win, I’ll only be disappointed if it’s a complete blowout.

Freeman is the clincher for me. He seems like a great guy and I think he’s gotten every last ounce of effort from his team thus far. I really believe it will take divine intervention for Notre Dame to win .

Tonight the winner will be a transfer QB wonder how many recent Championships teams won it with transfers or recruits?

Maybe we should leave a conference and become independent too.

Not sure how many fit that criteria, but a guy who transfers "in" to an elite program is a guy who wants to compete. I'd rather have a 3 star talent with a taste for competition than a 5 star physical talent who wants an easier path.

I'm down with that. Gotta admit that it's crazy that we have to have equal shares with programs like Vandy, MSU and SCjr.
