CFP Quarterfinals Peach Bowl: #5 Texas vs #4 Arizona State (1pm ESPN)

Horrible call. NCAA wanting Texas to win this game. It was complete targeting. Why have the rule of you’re not going to call it when it’s real targeting. If Arizona State made the same play against Texas, it would have been targeting. NCAA is like watching wrestling. That was a complete junk call. Horrible.

Not arguing, but there has to be an indictor, which one applies? No launch for sure! Not in the grasp. ?????

NCAA has nothing to do with referees nor the college football playoff.

Only thing I can figure is the receiver loses protection once the ball is tipped maybe?

The defenseless definition was the gray area of that call. He didn’t launch or lead with the crown. I don’t know if you lose being a defenseless receiver on a tipped pass. Seems like that had to be the determination.

This is why I love the game. Kind of wanted Texas to win before the game, but actually started pulling for ASU in the 4th qtr. Freaking great game. That's all that matters. It's why none of the recent changes will ever ruin the love for the "game" itself

Texas field goal kicker is really bad. If they had made their FGs, they would have beaten Georgia in the SEC championship game, and it looks like they might lose this game too.

These were the kind of games I was wanting to see with the expanded playoffs. I figure a few years down the road, we will start seeing upsets in the first round.
