I’ve got Texas losing to TCU, Ive also got Oregon losing to USC and Washington losing to someone. Also Ive got got the winner of the loaded Big 10 side losing to Iowa in the B10CG. I’ve got Tennessee in the playoff as 4 seed. Pretty likely if you ask me.

Can't say I hate the idea. I just can't put my heart into it.

The statistical probability of even most of that happening, much less all of it, is near zero.

Dream scenerio...
1. Ole Miss wins out and finishes 11-1. 1st west
2. Bama falls apart against UK and takes a bad L finishing 10-2. 2nd west (EDIT as pointed out below Bama would also have to lose to Auburn for Ole Miss to win the west. So 9-3 for Bama it is!)
3. Vols win out and take the East 10-2
4. Vols beat Ole Miss and win the SEC
5. Vols make CFP and beat OSU in first round.
6. Vols make Championship and play FL ST.
7. Vols win Natty!

But but but, if it all come true. Ole piss beating GA, us beating GA. We'd probably loose to Vanderbilt. It would be the kick in the nuts I've been missing since the terrible lizard loss.

If we beat #14 Mizzou we move into Top 10.
If we then beat #2 UGA, We leap frog them into top 4. Probably at 4 with them at 5.
We then would have to beat #3 Bama in the SEC Title game.

We will be in the playoffs at that point for sure.

This is clown. If we win out, we finish in Top 8 after 12 games. If we get help from Ole Miss and make Atlanta, we would likely be playing a Top 4 Bama.

But to say we are going to jump into the Top 4 even if we beat an undefeated UGA is funny.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate what Heupel has brought to our program? We went through three terrible coaching hires. We needed an offensive/aggressive, minded head coach that was very intelligent. There’s not a lot of them out there, but we had opportunities to hire the WRIGHT guys multiple times, and never did. IMO…the worst was the Pruitt hire. That was exactly what you would expect a 75 year old man to do.

Anyway, we finally got it right and with half a damn roster. We’ve now been continuously ranked since what… The second game of last year? If we win Saturday, we will likely jump into the top 10 and what is essentially a rebuilding season (after losing Homer, Hyatt, Tillman, young, etc).

We are going to be a championship contending team over the next couple of seasons!
