Win Out and a couple of Losses by TCU, LSU, Michigan, and or others in the Mix and we can fly under the radar. Slide into the 3 spot and do some damage. We are in a great position at the moment and let's just take care of business the next 3 weeks.

Agree. Take care of business and I think we are in a undeniable spot when it’s all said and done..

I find it hilarious that these idiots think that our loss to UGA was every bit the blowout that Oregons was. 46 points versus 14 isn’t even close. But yeah you can tell everyone is slobbering on Oregons sack. Oregon will likely get in over us.
No they won't, TCU ain't going undefeated & Much or OSU has to lose. We just need to worry about us. It's a quarter of a season left. 2 weeks from now most of this won't even matter

#5 is #4, because one of OSU and Mich has to lose and drop out on the last week of the regular season.

So as of right now, we're in. We're good. We're golden.

Win out, and UGa beats LSU in Atlanta, and it's a done deal.

If TCU loses in the next four weeks (they're likely to), Oregon gets in as well. Which I kinda like. They did pull a truck for us several years ago, after all, leading to us beating Florida that season.

Go Vols!

We need to absolutely destroy Mizzou and USCjr and Vandy and we're in...It's just that easy...No
t to mention it would be hard for them to turn us away with the amount of fans we would bring to the playoffs not to mention the TV ratings we generate.

A 2-3 CFP matchup (Ohio State & Tennessee) would be a classic featuring a 1-2 Heisman matchup as well. Storybook Game.
Yes, and two fan bases that travel really well.
Tempe, also the site of …umm…let’s see,,,what was it…our 1998 National title win over FSU. 😃😃😃

My fear in all of this is the amount of “SEC fatigue” that’s out there. The conference has been so dominant for so long that there are plenty of folks that are clamoring for only one SEC team to be in there. I’m just afraid that politics is going to take over. Hoping TCU loses one and one of the Big 10 teams wins decisively. I also believe they won’t shut the PAC 12 out this time and either Oregon or USC gets in if they only have 1 loss. Lots of games to go though.

Just watch what happens if Michigan and Ohio St play a close game. There will be plenty of folks clamoring for both to get in if both only have one loss. Now we might still get in if the right things happen with TCU and the PAC 12 but I just know the bias toward Ohio State and Michigan especially with the SEC fatigue that is a definite threat.

Of the top 10, all are the favorites next week except TCU.

And TCU has a rough set of 4 games to get through .... AT Texas, AT Baylor, Iowa State and if they win those a rematch with someone.

Oregon plays Utah so that game may be important. Missouri and South Carolina need attention first but a clear path to the playoff is certainly in play for Tennessee.

We don't factor into the "SEC fatigue." Not this year, anyway. Starting next year, sure. But this year, we're still a novelty. It would be like Wisconsin making the playoffs...they're not Ohio State or Michigan, so would carry no "B10 fatigue" stigma for the first season in.

Sorry I mistyped. It’s a problem if one of OSU or Michigan have only one loss and they played a close game.

I hope you’re right. I’ve seen too much of the media bias over the years. Folks just don’t like the SEC because of the dominance.

Yep- this is perfect, and exactly where we hoped we would be.
Excellent!
Now just win out and let’s get down to business in the playoffs.
Who woulda’ ever thunk this back in August!

5 is fine, Michigan or OSU will obviously drop in a few weeks, I think Texas beats TCU also. But for the Vols just kick some ass the next 3 weeks and see what happens
