Thought I'd see what people think about Worley and whether or not he could enter the draft after his senior season?

Discuss!

He has a lot of winning and stats to do. But let's face it, pocket QBs didn't do so great this year in the draft. The scramblers got the best picks.

So Worley needs to be doing something with his feet and his arms to even break 5th round IMO. Like fantastic numbers that keeps the sportwriters talking about him

you do not get drafted into the NFL because you are a good "game manager". Those guys are a dime a dozen.....He needs a spectacular senior season.

3500+ yards throwing.. 250+ on the ground... 25+ TD's...Less then 5 Int's

and of course.. leads us to 8-9 wins when everyone expects no greater then 6

I think it would take stats similar to this in order to get drafted. He would really have to show the NFL something special. JMHO

If he is the starter at the beginning of the season, I'll be pretty surprised if he is still starting at the end of Oct. That said, I hope he proves me to be absolutely wrong.

Guys its time to get behind your team and quit picking some of these players apart on a weekly basis. Worley was the difference in us making a bowl game last year. If he doesn't get injured they beat Vandy. And right now everyone is saying he should improve on last years 6 or 7 wins. If they had won the bowl game. Karma is a real thing. I myself am trying to learn from it. Keep wishing the worst on these players and my friends you will eventually get it.

It is not out of the realm of possibility. Crompton had a good senior season and ended up being a 5th rounder by the San Diego Chargers.

An impressive senior season will get him a late round draft selection but there are alot of "If's", "could's" , "Maybe's" and "It depends"

Every Senior enters the draft automatically. To get drafted he would have to start all games , win about 9 and throw for over 3000 yards. I don't think he starts the whole season though.

No chance with Worley.

As for Crompton, that he was drafted only shows how utterly desperate NFL teams are for QBs. He was not a good QB, though he did have some physical skills. It is odd that so many QBs with good physical skills get chances of one kind or another in the NFL, but so very, very few stick. Some guys don't get a good chance--not enough reps, bad system matchup, whatever--and it is simply hard to succeed at the QB position in the league. It is tough. A lot of guys even start for a year or two and then get dumped because of lack of team or individual success.

I think people need to not be so sensitive about threads in the offseason. Everyone on this board wants to see UT succeed. Relax.

Unless you're an NFL scout yourself, you probably don't have any idea what NFL scouts are looking for. That isn't to say that I do either necessarily, but I do know this: the NFL drafts on future potential almost as much if not more than they do on present achievements. It's why guys who played junior varsity league competition in college like Blake Bortles and Dri Archer can still get drafted so high as opposed to proven, battle-tested commodities like Connor Shaw, Aaron Murray, etc.

Justin hasn't proved a whole lot in college, but there's some things to like about his game. For starters, at 6'4 and 225, he's a big boy. That's NFL-ready size right there. He's also an intelligent, mature, likable kid and a good leader in the locker room. If he can impress in chalkboard X&O sessions and in team interviews, continue to work with some of the QB guru types on his arm, and have a Crompton-esque senior season, it's entirely possible that someone could choose to give him a shot in the late rounds.

YOu are correct. Look at Girapola who came from the M.A.C. vs. A.J. Mc who won the National Championship and had a 35 - 6 record as a starter.

A.J. Mc, who is a game manager was selected in the 5th round and some people think that he was selected too high, whereas; Girapola was a 2nd rounder......
