Character of recruiting class

Way overblown some of UTs best teams have had the most knuckleheads on them.
UF won 2 MNC's with a serial killer at TE and felons all over the field.
Miami teams of the 80 and 90's were outright thugs

Lets not canonize these kids just yet

You are right about the 1st hand. I was told by a player so it isn't 1st hand. Sorry about that. If you don't think many 5**High Schoolers come in with attitudes, you are mistaken. I was told he was extremely arrogant. That will all be handled in house if we have the upperclassman that provide the leadership.

You're the worst kind of poster. Jump on a positive thread and drop a bomb disparaging a player based on some BS "first hand" account, then start backpedaling like Lance Armstrong and change your tone once people start calling you out for the tool that you are. Just go away, like, really far away.

True. Some arrogance is a good thing IMO. More so when they establish themselves on the field first. Hurd has great potential, but we have been snake bitten so many times a la Bryce Brown.

We all know private schools don't like arrogance, unless your a booster with deep pockets. Then they will ask you to leave on technicalities. Smh

If it takes more than a month for you to gain friends, then I feel for you. HA-edited.

Some people are just more introverted than others. To the point, painting a broad brush about someone you don't even know personally on a message board who's only been on campus a month tells me all I need to know. SMH.

Simply stated the fact that he arrived on campus and another teammate's first impression was that he was arrogant. That is not dropping a bomb or painting a broad brush. I can't understand how that is so hard to believe and makes so many people surprised and angry.:)

I was told by another player that the player that told you that only told you that so you would come on here and make a fool of yourself. This is not 1st hand information, only repeating what my secret inside source told me.

Sorry but some of this fan base does not deserve what will be a remarkable turnaround for the program. Leno that includes you. We can't just sit back and enjoy our recruiting success, we have to start with trashing players. I had my say regarding the party and some of the ridiculous comments made like comparing AJ to Aaron Hernandez and this post is heading in that direction. For the sake of sanity if you can't support, are holier than thou then just STFU.

And FYI.... moron....

Jalen Hurd was not expelled from MBA.

Any person with half a brain would know that if a student is kicked out of one school, they CANNOT transfer to another school and play sports the next year. Per TSSAA rules, they would have to sit out a year.

Funny how JH played his freshmen year at MBA and started his sophomore year at Beech.

I am a current student at MBA

He took a picture up a teacher's skirt and the teacher said she wouldn't have JH charged unless he leaves the school

so, technically he did not get kicked out, but he did leave due to his behavior. Also another story that is too gross for the internet.

Yes, I've heard that story, and the story of him and other football players getting falsely accused of something they didn't do (and were later exhonirated by the faculty because they found out the child lied), and a bunch of other trash.

Fact is, parents took him out of the school because of garbage like this. Funny how he went to Beech and never got in trouble once.

So keep swinging on J Hurds sack. It's clowns like you that keep making him famous because you can't keep his name out of your mouth.

I agree that he has more than likely learned his lesson and matured, but that doesn't mean that he has perfect character. He has a history of getting into trouble (and yes, he definitely took the picture, and you may be right about the other stories because I'm not completely sure if the football players actually bullied the kid or not)

This is going so well for you. Feel stupid yet?

You guys are so 1 sided and myopic. To think someone could perceive Hurd as "cocky" is so far beyond belief for you. You need to get a grip on reality and get out of the dorm. If describing someone as "cocky" or arrogant gets you in such a fuss, claiming such injustice, then continue on with your myopic friends that can't ever see another person as possibly credible.

Actually, you're not completely sure on anything and have been wrong on everything.

He & others were accused of bullying a kid which turned out to be completely false. If you're really a student at MBA, then you know that wasn't true. 3 weeks later a kid said he took a pic of a teacher. A "kid said"... The teacher in question (Ms Williams) didn't even believe it because Hurd was one of her favs and because there was no pic on his phone.

Parents said "f" this shizz and took him out! I know I would have to!

Simple as that, but you're a child, and will believe what you want.
