Screw him, ever since I was in Gainesville and he was on stage before the game and put on a gator helmet, I have had nothing but dislike for him.

My God, he's a showman playing a show in Gainesville. Holy hell, you've got some real insecurity issues if that's what makes you hate him. Keith Urban brought the Pride drumline on stage with him. Think other Aussies hate him for that? Chesney is making a hell of a lot of money playing to crowds, and that's part of it.

All I know is Chesney's music is horrible. Take off that hat and he looks like a 7th grade math teacher.

That's a legit argument. I'm not a major fan by any means, minus a few songs, but to hate the guy for doing what he has to do to make the life he has is asinine.

In 1975 while stationed at Ft. Hood,I saw CDB at the Armadillo Bar in Austin. They opened for Marshall Tucker and both bands played Fire on the Mountain...CDB didn't suck that night. They were a tight pro group of musicians while Marshall Tucker sucked and was tooo wasted...Go Vols!!!

Early CDB is some of the best country music ever recorded. I know he opened up the genre for me. Lots of his earlier stuff sounds Grateful Dead with more fiddle and twang. Fun to hear that redneck grass smoking hippy CDB, especially in Uneasy Rider. I think Daniels has forgotten more about music than most fans would ever know.

BTW, we need to get Samuel L. Jackson as our rep, but I guess Comiccon season is upon us and he is too busy.

Brick by MOTHERF'N BRICK!

I'd take Charlie Daniels over most of the "fans" on this board. He wears the Power T proudly no matter where he is. He's not just a "fan" on the winning days. Some of you could learn something from that.

Love Charlie Daniels, he is a lifelong UT fan and has some great songs. I like all kinds of music, some on here I just don't understand what is not to like about Charlie Daniels.I am kinda worried about somebody that cannot at least appreciate a good artist and a better person!! GO BIG ORANGE AND Big Charlie Daniels!!!

How in the hell does this get 11 likes?

I like his Southern jam, "leave this old country boy alone" days a lot.

But I could do without the politics, and am not sure his views represent all UT fans. His message wouldn't go over well with the kids we recruit to play football for us. We should let Ole Miss have Charlie.

that idiot/racist Ted Nugent, spouting conservative craziness every chance he gets? Just play music, Charlie.

If you want to leave politics out of it then why did you bring it up? CD has the right to use his stage to talk about whatever he pleases, just like any other American anyone shaming him for his views would be displaying intolerance.
