I know, I know.......links. Have none but am hearing from sources from several different directions that he will be the new HC at UT. Stay tuned.

Please Charlie Strong may be a great coach but HE HAS NOT proven anything on the field...played a weak schedule this year and squeaked out a couple of the wins they had. And was handed his behind to him on a platter yesterday....so lets not go down that road again...please!!!!

I would be for it, the way his team played yesterday after the way they played all year, says his mind is elsewhere.

This is the most ridiculous post I have seen in some time. We will not know who the new head coach is for quite some time. Tell your sources to just support the team and lets have confidence that we can beat candyville and one of the worst football teams I have ever seen in the SEC in Kentucky.

How in the **** does this board have 5 different threads saying that 5 different coaches (including even Jon Gruden's brother and one with Derek Dooley's evil twin, the one with the moustache) and going to be Tennessee's next head coach according to unnamed sources?

You mean like Kevin Sumlin, who just beat the #1 team in the country in his first year in the SEC?? Charlie Strong has cut his teeth in the SEC as a DC and has turned Louisville around. Weaker conference, yes. But he would recruit like hell at UT and has the resume. Worked under Holtz and Spurrier, both NC coaches. Has proven himself at EVERY job.

Strong would be a good coach. petrino has too much baggage plus strong can bring in Florida kids who can run and play with an edge that UT has never had even through the fulmer yrs. We need kids that can play and have the it because we havee very few of it kids on this roster right now. I am not saying cons and problems either.

according to my sources peyton is retiring tonight to take the job and saban is going to be our DC
