Charlie Strong

Nope you're wrong he has. He's totally having a melt down too. Said if we hire Strong he's becoming a A&M fan. Listen iv been calling him out for almost two months. Where have you been? I was getting flamed left and right for calling him out and now the tide has turned on him. He has serious issues man.

I must have missed those while at work. His tone has changed obviously. My apologies then. :hi:

BTW, was not calling you a liar but stating I thought you were mistaking. Was this in the Gruden thread?

Whomever is named HC at TN (looks like it's going to be CCS) needs to have our full support. Once the hire is made, no amount of *****ing and moaning will change it. When life hands you coal, make diamonds. (No racist)

I'd even take the guy the poisoned the trees @Auburn. He would try to win every game and purposely lose to BAMA every year. I would rather have him than Dooley.

Out here in OK, the Oklahoma City TV stations are talking about "rumors flying all day that Mike Gundy will be Tennessee's next coach." But I'm still not buying it. Successful HCs like Gundy do this every year to get a raise and/or contract extension.

If Strong is the man, I will support him 100% until he gives me a reason not to. He is not a bad coach. Is he good enough for UT? We'll see soon enough. I just hope the majority of the fan base is not like some of you on here. You are ready to throw him out with the first loss. Let the man get his chance (if he is hired).
And on Hart, I don't believe for one second that he wouldn't get the best hire he can if another coach is willing to be here. Some big names have been thrown around. Have you taken a second to think that maybe they don't want to come?

So say we hire Strong, who would you want on the staff? I could see the following;

HC - Charlie Strong

Offense
OC - Jim Chaney?
RB - Jay Graham
OL - Sam Pittman
QB/WR - Tee Martin

Defense
DC - ?
DL/Recruiting Coordinator - Clint Hurtt
LB - Sal Sunseri

I see most of our current offensive staff staying in place. I think we really go after and bring Tee home this year. He is a good young coach and recruiter. Pittman will be kept and that will bring back James because he loves playing for him and said that much. Graham is obviously coming back or should. I'd like to find a way to keep Hinshaw, dude is a beast recruiter. Tee could potentially take the WR coach position & Hinshaw take QBs? As for TEs I could see Chaney picking that position back up.

On defense that would be the toughest to decide. I hope he brings along his current DL coach, Clint Hurtt, he was named national recruiter of the year by ESPN. As for DC I'm drawing a total blank. Maybe he brings his current coordinator but I would love to see us go after Ellis Johnson. He has SEC ties and is very experienced. I also see us retaining Sal as line backers coach. As for the secondary coach I have no idea.

For the special teams coordinator I really don't know.

So say we hire Strong, who would you want on the staff?...

I hope Tee is in the mix, but I think besides that, his staff will be a little surprising to some. It all depends on the ties he has and who he feels he could get to Tennessee for at least 3 years. We are (facilities, tradition, money, fanbase) a lot more attractive than Louisville ever dreamed of being.

We are the brunette, or maybe the red head. Louisville is the one in red...
