Charlie Strong

I have a buddy that plays at Louisville as an offensive lineman. Talked to him today and he told me that he had heard that Strong to UT was likely, but the players had not been told anything definitive as of 3pm this afternoon. He also went on to refer to Strong as a "player's coach" and that Strong commanded respect and the players loved him. He also said that he didn't think Strong would come to UT, but that was only his opinion.

Tell me genius, who would you hire that's better than Saban at this point?

It's not about hiring someone better than Saban. We need to hire someone who would make Saban run behind with his tails behind his legs. I don't think Strong would even beat muschamp. Get someone with an offense!

Sure. Saying that winning, SECCs and national relevance all count for something is exactly the same as saying that I want to be inferior to bama forever-- especially considering that the statement immediately followed, "We all want national championships."

Exactly.

You cracked the code.

Well done.

I tip my hat to you. You are intellectually unequaled, sir...

:hi:
Give me a computer and a keyboard, for I will tell you about standards, and how we can uphold our expectations as human beings in a capitalistic society to be the best. We want to win. It's all naturally in our DNA. You'd have to be an idiot if you think that all athletic teams don't want to win championships. I am more realistic by saying we have to beat our rivals. Every school that plays football want to beat their rivals. What's wrong with you not expecting that!

So Boro-vol is having a melt down in the Gruden thread. Biggest troll iv ever seen. lmao

Easy tomsay in this thread knowing he isn't here. He was only passing info along that was told to him.... You know? In the "rumor and speculation forum"! he is no troll. Imwas hearing the same thing and much of it was true but Hart screwed it up IMO.

With that said, I am completely comfortable with Strong and believe he would do a very good job! Is it the immediate attention we need to draw talent, no, but I believe he will turn it around. I will go on record supporting our new coach if true.

First of all, no one is making Saban do that at this point, it's just not happening. And second, "get someone with an offense"....really? Like the one we just had that put up 35-40 points a game, you mean an offense like that? Our problem wasn't offense, even though I didn't always agree with the offensive play calling, but that wasn't even close to our biggest problem.

Maybe not to you. While we all want national championships, winning, SECCs and national relevance actually count for something to many of us.

You'd want to be inferior to bama forever??? Hire Charlie Strong. It's all about winning.

I'll be happy to send you a keyboard; just send me your address. USB or bluetooth?

Do you mind if I throw in a copy of "Teach Yourself Reading Comprehension in 24 Hours (Audiobook Edition)"?

  1. I said that I want national championships, as we all do.
  2. I said that winning counts for something.
  3. I said that SEC Championships count for something.
  4. I said that national relevance counts for something.
  5. I said that winning (in general) counts for something.

Not sure where you invented the idea that I don't want to win, nor beat our rivals, and be inferior. But whatever floats the boat in that noggin o' yours, my friend.

I'm becoming convinced that burger is yanking our chain. I have to believe that. I just have to, or...

Surely he's yanking our chain.

Whoa homie! This guy wasnt just passing along friendly info. He was extremely cocky and presenting it as facts!! He was clear about this!! Iv been calling him out for over a month about his BS. He even said Skeeter had no clue what he was talking about. Dude is a troll and a weirdo!!

This will be the end of Hart when he finds out there will be a 30-40 per cent reduction in game attendance. Strong thinks it is just the people in Louisville that simply don't turn out, but it is him , not the football team. Goodbye Mr. Hart

Solid, well-reasoned, well-presented points.

Or not...

I read that Louisville would make strong the highest paid coach if they had to to keep him! Maybe I'm wrong about not buying into strong as a big splash hire...

I think you are confusing Boro for Yay4Jay or JayRay. Whatever his name is. I have been on since the beginning and do not remember Boro being that way at all even to the fact that he would gladly come back and eat crow if Gruden was not to be hired.

Why do you think that ? He has won every poll on here.

In my opinion, that is all talk. First of all, I don't believe UL has the money to do that. Second of all, why in the world would a sub-tier school pay money on par with the big guys? It's just insane and won't happen.
