he's been a good hs coach and now at jax univ.

but, it seems very risky to me.

can't imagine muschamp would put his future in kerwin's hands

Considering the hires UF usually makes, very risky!! High school, CFL and FCS coach?? Dude better be the next offensive genius if true.

Strange hire by KU. First, Weis flopped at Notre Dame, and he's got health issues besides. I don't think his offense did much this past year at florida either, did it--tough they had enough to beat us.

Fulmer really didn't want it anyway (LOL); he would want ANY college coaching job but most of them are smarter than to offer him a job. Every time he makes it known he's interested, they take a look and say "No Way Jose'"! The only positive I can see about Fulmer getting a college coaching job is hopefully it would be on the west coast (as far away from us as possible) and maybe it would finally get him out of our hair (for good).

I don't understand why people are so down on this hire. Kansas has been relevant for 2 of the last 50 years and they fired their coach after that.

It's back to being the cupcake of the mathematically challenged conference for them!

Yeah I think his ties to the Kansas City Chiefs has people thinking the year he was there was most successful in awhile that, that will pay dividends for the states school. I don't know if they could have gotten a better household name as their coach. No I don't think he is a very good coach but he will be reognized in every recruits living room. While I think they pulled the trigger too soon on Turner Gill I don't think people could pick him out of a lineup.

Dont know why. They went 6-6 with mostly 4 and 5 star talent. I've said it once and I'll say it again, Weis just isnt made for college football. Lots of success in the NFL, not much at all in college.

At the beginning of the 2011 season, comment's from the Gator gallery was that Weis will have the Florida offense outscoring everyone by the 2012 season.

At the end of the 2011 season all they can say is good riddance and he was a total failure.

The Gator fan base sure are a strange bunch.

Not to give 100% credit to Charlie (because that's dumb) but they haven't won a Super Bowl since he left.

Muschamp said that White (RB Coach), Applewhite, and Kerwin Bell are all going to get consideration.


Kerwin would be an incredible hire in my opinion.

Not all KU fans are excited about this hire. They remember how he screwed over the chiefs by taking the Florida job the week before the playoffs and his offensive game plan for the playoff game was awful. KU fans wanted a good coach but don't think Weis has any "character". Heard that a lot from the callers tonight.
