Im pretty sure they can. It took Saban about six months after he was hired to sign the actual contract. And Mike Price was fired at Alabama but never signed a contract.

Quake and Doc said they both had different sources telling them something happened between 7:30 and 8pm last night, that an deal was done, and that the athletic department was on lock down and essentially would not release anything until it was made public.

They are a radio show and depend on people listening. So take it with a grain of salt.

They said last week K. Miles had de-comitted from the vols and comitted to a&m.. Of course ppl on here speculated that but had not come out and said it last week.

That being said they are vol homers (esp doc) so take this new found info today fwiw on a radio show.

For the record, this is no longer true. Haslam changed the rules regarding state employment just a couple of months ago. The registration system and posting requirements no longer exist. TIFWIW.

An MOU is not a contract it's an agreement upon principle by both sides. Cuonzo coached on one for 180+ days
