Cheapest gas I have had in a while

$3.02 at Walmart in Maryville. Couldn't take advantage because I'd just filled up a couple miles earlier.

3.83 here for premium and 3.79 here for diesel

I remember diesel being .85 and gas being .89 a gallon when I was a teenager. 1.25 a gallon most my adult life till 9/11.

But was 1.80 a gallon about 5 years ago.

Oh the good ole days.

I remember being outraged at the idea of paying $2.00 a gallon for gas a few years ago.... I'd be thrilled to get it for $3.00 now....

I distinctly remember this as well, while most people don't, but diesel used to be cheaper than all the other octane gases.

That's truly impressive. I'd argue however that you very likely spent much more than the difference in Kroger's inflated grocery prices.

I bought gifts cards. If you max out at 35 gallons and you buy a $500 gift card during 4 times you save around 14%. If you use a 2% cash back credit card you can tack on an additional 2%

in fairness, I only purchased a little over 29 gallons of gas. I did use a 2% cash back card. So my savings were around 13.8872%

Is there a reason why gas prices went up right after Trump signed his tax cut bill for the rich?
