Checker Vandy

This isn't hate, child, this is an awesome UT marketing opportunity. I see it being so offbeat, so daring, so fan-tas-tic (Man! Those crazy Vols Fans!) as to be an incredible recruiting tool. Tacked on top of this season's Neylandizing the Bama game, the field storming, and the GoFundMe response to the storming fine. This idea is beyond incredible, well-timed, and like nothing else that has EVER been done in CFB or anywhere else. I hope we do it.
I'm with the guy you responded to. Forget all this noise. Just win the next three games by huge margins!!

There's a business opportunity for an aspiring entrepreneur to sell essentially an oversized tshirt in white and a schools color to wear over the coat. It's simply packaging.

Yeah, the problem with that is the game is always I. Late November.

You want my butt sitting out there in 30 degree weather, I'm gonna make sure I'm warm.

You would need like a size 8xl Tshirt to fit over everything Trust me, prices start skyrocketing when you get past roughly 2x size. (I'm not huge or anything, just owned a clothing company at one point).

Never crossed my mind.

Yeah, too late in the year

Does anyone look at the prices of the tickets? I was thinking of coming down for the game and then I saw it $175/ticker for upper corner and I thought...your kidding right?

I know I'm in the minority but I just don't like the idea. I'm no fan of Little Sister but this is disrespectful. I could understand if Candy was a hate rivalry but that ship sailed generations ago.
Maybe that would cause Vanderbilt to think about leaving the SEC;)

Don't think we can incentivize them taking that step, but could make acceptance if forced on them easier. Not sure how many private institutions can survive in that environment. Miami maybe, Standford maybe, but Vandy and Duke I don't see. Fine tuning conferences IF IF IF we actually head toward SUPER conferences might require trimming the bottom out of several conferences to get to parity among the 3 to 4 top of the food chain conferences. BB can still exist for ALL teams regardless any realignment.

A ship with it's anchor down is stationary and cannot move forward, perfect for Vandy.

Do they still do that stuff pre-game? Under Mason, some cheerleader would tote an anchor out and plant it mid-field.

If that is still on-going, I'll need to pack my barf bag.

When they played Wake Forest early in the season they did that stunt on SEC Nation and followed "anchor down" with "we want Bama!!" It's not as ridiculous now as it was then but still hilarious.
