You must be a Native American then.

As a matter of fact I am *******!

Cherokee as a matter of fact...lol

In my opinion youre all illegal!

As far as this kid, he is illegal. I would look at it like this...I would say anything to if I were his parents to make him legal.lol

The problem doesn't lie with UGA the problem lies with the education system in general. This should have been caught a long time ago.

No but his parents did. Im sorry but two wrongs dont make a right. I'll say this, I feel sorry for him because his parents broke the law and he is having to pay for it. Now they need to make sure his parents do to.

It is what it is man. I hate politics and don't really like discussing it. I feel terrible for the kid but the coaching staff and UGA did everthing they could to try to get him in. Time to move on.

i love all these people who aren't native americans that rail against illegal immegration - makes no sense to me

their first defense will be - but my ancestors came here legally

which makes sense unless you think about it for lets say 10 seconds - we basically let anyone in at that point so it was pretty hard to immigrate illegally when your ancestors came - your ancestors were broke, with no skills and no education and the US welcomed you with open arms - now that your in the door and have the education and skills you want to shut it on everyone else - classy move

Supposedly, he's not an immigrant. He was born in the US, and his parents were immigrants. Apparently he's missing documentation.

If he was born in the US then a birth certificate would be easy.... My thoughts is they don't have one.... or cannot produce one....

I call it selective amnesia, but that can define politics in general. That's why I have never like politics. The truth and facts are offensive to people who have an obsession with politics.

It's called selective exposure theory. Pretty big body of research in communication, political science, and psychology.

I'm not attacking you personally, just putting you in your place.

Funny, let me ask you a simple question and I would like to get a simple answer. Why are you even here? I mean, you're a UGA fan right?

I'm not sure if you looked at the top left corner of the page on this site, but pal I do believe youre in the wrong place...lol

Idiocy. So we're supposed to be able to absorb all of the world's poor transients? Yeah, that's feasible.

If his parents are illegal, that's one issue.

If the kid was born on U.S. soil, he should be allowed the same rights whether it was in his parent's house or a hospital. Denying a child a dream who grew up an American is an absolute abomination of a policy. He didn't pick where he was born - he took the cards he was dealt and parlayed them into a D1 scholarship offer to his dream school. He did nothing wrong, let him play.

And if they don't, come to UT! :)

I think his point is that there is much more to be being an American than a few pieces of paper and the luck of squirting out of your Mom's vagina in the right place.

It wasn't his grades, it was the new immigration law. He could go to another SEC school with no problems. It is the states effort to drive out illegal immigrants that caused this.

If I read correctly, this is a school restriction, not the state?
