Chicago is...

Chicago has more than it's fair share of problems. The politicians there run the city more like an organized crime family than a government. The problems start there and work their way down. The police are just as bad as the politicians.

In case you couldn't tell I do not care for Chicago at all. This is my opinion from several trips taken there dating back to 1998.
but he's right about Chi-town. Great time, great town.

Wife and I go every Christmas season for 3-4 days. Love it, even with the freezing cold.

to each their own I guess.

I have been thoroughly unimpressed on my visits. Work probably had something to do with it. I'm not a big city guy though.

I did enjoy Wrigley Field, and I don't really care for baseball.

maybe that's it. I was born and raised in a city and have never lived anywhere but cities so I just feel more at home.

One of my favourite films of all time is 'The Blues Brothers' so maybe that has somethign to do with why I love it so much there.

As much as I love city life, I spent the weekend in Cape Cod (got back last night) and it was incredible. Totally different pace of life, trees and fields everywhere...I even got withing 20 feet of a huge group of seals! It was incredible.

On the subject of travel, only 5 days until I'm in Knoxville!! :dance2:

if you are in the area it's a fine town, but i would never go out of my way to go there. the following cities which have never had an olympics would be vastly superior:

San Francisco
San Diego
Miami
New York
