Chick-fil-a Bowl UF vs Michigan third times the charm??

People can compare this to what Muschamp did in 2012 and what McElwain did by winning the East twice, but it's a whole lot different.
Yes. Lot of smoke and mirrors with the Mac/Chump good seasons.

Dan has elevated the level of play on both sides of the ball and has Franks looking like a decent QB. He's maximizing every ounce of talent. I didn't expect him to win more than about 7 games this year

In 2012, Muschamp won with an elite defense coached up by Dan Quinn.

Mac won the East twice, when the East at its lowest point competitively since the divisional split.

Win or lose today, this is completely different.

Exactly, Mac won the East when Georgia wasn't this Georgia yet.

"Mullen had been in contact with former Tennessee athletic director John Currie the day before regarding the Vols' coaching vacancy, but the Gators won the pursuit.
Currie sent a message on Nov. 25 to Clint Dowdle, who is part of the sports agency group that represents Mullen, asking Dowdle to send Mullen a memorandum of understanding.
That day, UCLA hired Chip Kelly, who had been courted by Florida. The next day, Mullen reached a deal with Florida, and Currie turned his sights to Schiano."

Had UF not had an opening UT offered him the salary he asked for, Dan would be our coach and Currie would still have a job

FYP. Mullen is a mercenary, his only connection to Florida is that he coached there with Meyer, and he was always going to coach for whomever said yes to the number his agent put forth.

Currie and the UT admin is still in the bargain hunting mode when it comes to football coaches; Florida's AD, is not of that mindset.

I know most want UF to lose and I get that but the silver lining is when SEC teams beat Big 10 teams we don’t have to listen to how the SEC is overrated and the Big 10 is so much better because the 2nd best team in the Big 10 beat the 4th or 5th beat team in the SEC.

I'd say it's somewhat balanced out by USCe getting utterly embarrassed by a mid-tier ACC team.

Lol Mullen waited and waited for UF

We don't have to listen to that anyway. At least I don't hear it. All I hear is the incessant rah rah SEC crap

Of course he did. Whatever number we threw out, UF would have matched. Let's see, go to a school he knows like the back of his hand in the middle of a recruiting hotbed with Miami and FSU being down, or go to the school that changes coaches and ADs like most people change underwear. I'm shocked we didn't land him!

Currie’s not our athletic director and we paid an unproven OC $1.2 mil and a S&C guy the second highest salary in the nation. Get current!

Beyond all that, the important factor was that he had a relationship with Florida's AD who was the former AD at Mississippi State

I tried to tell you in the beginning of the year AFTER they lost to UK that Florida in fact was improved.
Mullen is one of the better coaches in the conference
