China Thread

Read an article yesterday that said China supplanting the US as the largest economy is now highly unlikely based on data learned in the last couple years. A rogue Chinese guy hacked the gov computers and got the census data most recently available...china only has 1.28BN people not the 1.4 to 1.5BN the government claims....their population actually started decreasing in the late 90s and the average chinese woman today only gives birth to 0.8 children average...they comtinued the archaic "1 child rule" for decades longer than it could have possibly had any benefit. Their economy is in the crapper like ours or worse...their shrinking population is also aging out quickly with their version of "boomers" set to begin taking a massive drain on public assistance funds beginning between 2025 and 2030...there will have to be cutbacks to military and other spending just to support the huge wave of elderly folks aging out of the workforce etc...

They said India is actually the most likely country to displace the US as the worlds largest GDP now. They have roughly the same population as China but theirs is still steadily and slowly growing. India is also apparently modernizing more and more of their country as they have steadily improved the quality of their schools and have become more prominent in the technological fields/computers. They are however still not guaranteed to ever surpass the US...despite having more than 3x our population. Fortunately we have a much better relationship with India than China, even selling them much of their aircraft etc. They hate China too lol....

I hope that all these researchers are correct. We have already seen where the real estate market has tanked in China and the runs on banks with riots etc....there are definitely holes in their Chinese armor. Hope they are about to get a big slice of humble pie and stop trying to bully their neighbors and acting belligerent in the seas.

When you can use slave labor and steal technology it comes with advantages.

I hadn't seen this. It's movie plot stuff.

On paper, it looked like a fantastic deal. In 2017, the Chinese government was offering to spend $100 million to build an ornate Chinese garden at the National Arboretum in Washington DC. Complete with temples, pavilions and a 70-foot white pagoda, the project thrilled local officials, who hoped it would attract thousands of tourists every year.

But when US counterintelligence officials began digging into the details, they found numerous red flags. The pagoda, they noted, would have been strategically placed on one of the highest points in Washington DC, just two miles from the US Capitol, a perfect spot for signals intelligence collection, multiple sources familiar with the episode told CNN.

Also alarming was that Chinese officials wanted to build the pagoda with materials shipped to the US in diplomatic pouches, which US Customs officials are barred from examining, the sources said.

Among the most alarming things the FBI uncovered pertains to Chinese-made Huawei equipment atop cell towers near US military bases in the rural Midwest. According to multiple sources familiar with the matter, the FBI determined the equipment was capable of capturing and disrupting highly restricted Defense Department communications, including those used by US Strategic Command, which oversees the country's nuclear weapons.

At any rate given the size of their economy they will still have the means to drive their agenda and continue their belligerence and expansion. They may look at the demographics and decide they better grab what they can sooner rather than later.
Edit: maybe better to say they may have looked at the demographics and decided...

Is it really time to endure a little inconvenience and look at the tags on goods? Made in China gets put back on the shelf?
That's good in theory and the more we do it the better for our future. But what brands of microwaves, coffee makers, tools, etc. aren't made there?

Pentagon chief gave Pelosi security assessments but won't comment on Taiwan

While I get that we don’t announce all of potential actions, his response is that of a weakling. He should flat out say that our officials can visit any country they choose and they we will protect them at any cost.

I agree. I just don't think China pulls this stunt with Trump. They've been bullying this adminstration since they got in office. They smell weakness now. It also makes you wonder if Biden is compromised and the intelligence agencies are hiding it.

China saying it has the right to shoot down Pelosi’s plane if it is escorted by our fighter planes to Taiwan. It’s just a matter of time before we are at war.

Whirlpool is the brand I go to for appliances. All made in the USA. In fact, they have a manufacturing facility in Cleveland, TN. I have a microwave, fridge, washer, dryer, range, and dishwasher all from them. Sadly couldn’t get the freezer (that’s GE). I walk past the Samsung and LG products anymore.

Of course it will..it would just be so Bidenesque to occur prematurely for that witch.

I would be curious to know the foreign content though. Are they just assembled in Cleveland?

I have not been able to find an exact “where are all of the parts coming from” list. However, every website I look at and appliance place I talk with (big stores and small/local stores) all say that the Whirlpool family are truly made in the USA. Whirlpool does have an international presence and so they try to keep local over in those markets, too (kinda hard when you live in a small country, though). So basically anything under the Whirlpool umbrella should be good to go.

GE, on the other hand got bought buy a Chinese corporation.

It would impossible to find a purely American product with so many components, so do what you can to support American jobs.

The Commie Colonization of America

From California to the New York island, from the Redwood Forest to the Gulf stream waters, the land that used to belong to Americans has been milked and bilked by investors and paid government agents of the People's Republic of China. The National Association of Realtors reported last week that wealthy Chinese spent $6.1 billion on U.S. real estate in the past year. They've captured more than 10% of the market and have the highest average purchase price of all foreign real estate investors at over $1 million per home.

California is their top pick, with more than a third of all homes located in the Golden State. (Or is it the Maoist Red State now?) In addition, China-tied entities own nearly 192,000 acres of American farmland and forest land — the bulk controlled by ShuangHui International after it acquired U.S. pork producer Smithfield Foods in 2013.

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis made headlines this week blasting the takeover as a "huge problem." Indeed, the commie colonization of America has been taking place for decades. But it's not rapacious Beijing enemies abroad who deserve the most blame. It's traitorous Democrats and globalist Republicans who've pimped and profited off of fraud-ridden green card rackets that allowed foreigners to gobble up our country.

In my books "Invasion" (2002) and "Sold Out" (2015), my 2017 mini-documentary, "The Dark World of EB-5: U.S. Citizenship for Sale," my 2016 report on Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner's China deals, and countless syndicated columns dating back to 2001, I've blown the whistle on the national security nightmare posed by China's favorite vehicle for gobbling up our neighborhoods: the bipartisan-boosted EB-5 investor visa scam. This is the same racket exploited by former Democrat Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, lobbied for by the late Nevada Sen. Harry Reid and Department of Homeland Security official Alejandro Mayorkas, and embraced by South Dakota Republican officials.

Say China isn’t shi*ting around and did do something to Pelosi’s plane or one of our fighter jets, what happens?

It’s on I would think.
