First paragraph:

Then it describes the delay in the report's release, that it confirms serious human rights abuses, and quotes initial reactions from rights advocates and PRC.

Serious question for people plugged into the global economy.

Is anyone aware of widespread issues of Chinese companies having difficulty paying their bills?

Have you seen something, personal experience? My son's company is owned by the Chinese and he hasn't mentioned anything about it.

Smithfield being owned by CCP is concerning to me
I am surprised we play that game as from my understanding 100% US ownership in CCP is prohibited

I get the sentiment I just don't know if I could support barring foreign nationals from investing in the US.

Yes, personal experience..... It may just be coincidence but a few of my colleagues are having similar issues with Chinese owned companies right now. Accounts getting locked...... Having to go on credit card terms always switching cards because they are declined etc.

Mind telling us what industry? My son's plant is an OEM parts supplier for automotive so I'm concerned about that slowing down outside of anything going on in China.

We supply government, manufacturing, industrial and commercial construction industries mainly. We do supply auto manufacturers and their satellite component suppliers across the country.

Britain faces a ‘sliding doors moment in history’ with China, whose plans for global technological dominance pose a ‘huge threat to us all’, the head of GCHQ warns today.

Sir Jeremy Fleming fears the hostile state is using key technologies to spread its influence around the world – even using surveillance from space.

In a speech today, the intelligence chief raises the prospect that China is building a satellite system capable of tracking individuals around the world.

Despite Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, China still poses the greater long-term threat to global security, according to Sir Jeremy.

He believes the Chinese Communist Party is learning lessons from Russia’s ‘staggering’ losses in Ukraine, and is seeking to build a centralised digital currency to insulate itself from international sanctions if China invades Taiwan.

He believes China’s BeiDou satellite navigation system, which works similarly to GPS, is being developed as both a means to track people and as a secret weapon to incapacitate satellites used by rival Western nations.

I don't like what they're doing either. But if you are honest, you have to admit their tactics are modeled on the fine examples of Euro-western historical behavior.
