We have had political parties all but 20 years of our existence. With or without parties the process was the same, bills are presented, compromised, then passed. If no one compromises then nothing gets passed its that simple.

Democrats vote straight party line and have for a long time. Whatever the party leaders tell them the agenda is today. Its not about their district or state first anymore. Republicans are wildcards but not much better. Right now Democrats are trying to prevent Trump from filling the campaign promises he was elected on, will of the people, by road blocking at every turn. I am sure the Republicans will reciprocate when the opportunity arises. Party control is too strong. This will need to be changed very soon.

There's always been a backdoor for the government to look at your stuff anyway.

To quote one of the most underrated (and ahead of its time) movies, Enemy of the State: "The more technology you use, the easier it is for them to keep tabs on you."

I think most of it is the OS doing it. They do it on their end for whatever you sign away in the terms and agreement and the backdoor is that given to the. Gov

It will take another 2 months to see the real effect. Most American companies contract the work in China, they don't actually own a factory there. These China companies were running overtime to make as much product as possible before the tariffs. Entire inventories were purchased by US corporations for the same reason. At the same time, corporations contracting for product in China are searching madly for replacement contractors in other countries like Bangladesh and India. So far very little of the tariffs have been passed on to the consumer. This relates directly to the apparel industry but other industries must be doing the same.

i am honestly surprised any of them are still around. its almost as bad as talking back against Putin in Russia.
