Why do you think we couldn’t?
. Wouldn’t we have more allies on our side in a war against them than they would. Who would fight and side with China? Russia ? You make some good points. We need to quit doing buisness with them and being so dependent on them for our goods.Few reasons:
1. It would be fought in their backyard and our supply chain would be too long
2. China is a huge part of our supply chain
3. We lack the will to spend lives like the Chinese are willing to do. Any public support would collapse with the first casualty reports.
4. If the tide started turning against China they might go nuclear and nobody wins a nuclear war

China today threatened to 'crush' any US troops stationed on Taiwan as it conducts live fire drills in the South China Sea after Joe Biden abandoned Afghanistan.
An editorial in the regime-backed Global Times lashed out at a since-deleted tweet by Senator John Cornyn which erroneously stated there were 30,000 American soldiers stationed in Taiwan.
The bombastic propaganda article said that if Sen. Cornyn's claim was true this 'is equivalent to a military invasion and occupation of the Taiwan Province of China. It is an act of declaring war on the People's Republic of China.'
It added that China would 'destroy and expel US troops in Taiwan by any means and realize reunification by force.'

Those guys are not our friends they are the enemy and people in this country need to wake up and start taking the China threat seriously or our grandkids will be speaking Chinese in the future. The Chinese Communist Party is the biggest global threat to any country in the world. Yep, they view us as weak. This is potentially very bad.One of the more embarrassing and disrepectful indications of how China views this administration. Trump had Xi on his knuts. I'm going to have to add this to the Handsome Joe thread.
Joe Biden’s suggestion of summit with Xi Jinping falls on deaf ears

Joe Biden suggested he hold a face-to-face summit with Chinese president Xi Jinping during a 90-minute call last week but failed to secure an agreement from his counterpart, leading some US officials to conclude that Beijing is continuing to play hardball with Washington.
The US president proposed to Xi that the leaders hold the summit in an effort to break an impasse in US-China relations, but multiple people briefed on the call said the Chinese leader did not take him up on the offer and instead insisted Washington adopt a less strident tone towards Beijing.
The White House had portrayed the call — which took place at Biden’s request seven months after their first telephone conversation — as a chance to test if Xi was willing to engage seriously after several diplomatic meetings between US and Chinese officials garnered little progress.
