I am a little confused with your logic. If I eat to much sugar I kill myself is as bad as If you eat uncooked pangolins (which is illegal) and spread SARS throughout the world killing thousands. You think those two things are comparable?
The bartender isn't quite the logical thinker he pretends to be ;)

I can give you the unsanitary conditions. I don't think you or anyone in here gives a **** about the rarity of the animal because that would mean the same people actually give a **** about the planet, and know that isn't the case.

There's literally no point to this thread other than to flex y'all's inherent disgust with Chinese people.
The only issue with the rarity of the animal is the unknown types of viruses and diseases they may carry since they’re not a “typical” food source for humans. Humans have been eating cows, chickens and pigs for eons.

When world plague starts originating from McDonald's we might have something to compare.

While I'm glad this is no longer considered a hoax by the peanut gallery, this is something that will do the vast majority of its damage in the next few months as opposed to something that has been an international problem for about 70 years that is based here.

You're right. There's no comparison.

ok, i see you child obesity and diabetes and raise you killing babies because they are female and imprisoning and killing people for trying to attend church service...you can't win this "contest" because the US is superior

Superior in what sense? Morality? Don't we sponsor their way of life by buying 90% of our manufactured goods from them?

I’m only disgusted with them because their practices unleash this type of BS every 5-10 years......

Go point out where I said it was a hoax? Go ahead. If you truly want to go back and look I've said the opposite.

Also, comparing this to childhood obesity or obesity in general, I'll grab your own argument as to the legality of drugs. People should be able to put whatever in their bodies they chose as long as it isn't harming others. The difference here is the filth they eat in China does do harm to others, harm on a worldwide, pandemic scale.

I get your argument. The difference is the root cause and time, but both the virus epidemics and millions of fat Americans are valid health concerns

How? one persons decision takes the life of only one person and the other persons decision takes the life of thousands.

Depends what person you're talking about. The consumer? The parent? The managers? The CEO?

You think Covid19 is the sole responsibility of the wet market merchants?

In the midst of making covid19 a partisan issue, it's obvious to anyone with an IQ of at least 2 digits that the right didn't think this was a big deal until the past few days. That was the narrative. They're the same folks in here saying "**** the Chinese" by way of Yelping their wet markets ITT.

Fast foods chains are all over the world, and the Irish Burger Kings are no less unhealthy than the one in your town. So, yes, it's not just a problem here.

My point is that we don't have much room to **** on the diets of other cultures. Sure, the lack of regulation is the real issue, but make it about that. Don't just use it as an opportunity to denigrate them as barbarous animals which is EXACTLY why this thread started.

Both sides made it partisan not just the right.

I don't disagree that BK, McDonald's, etc. are unhealthy foods. It would be foolish to argue otherwise, the difference is it only harms the one consuming the foods whereas the Chinese wet markets and the way they sell, prepare, and consume the foods affects millions around the world causing thousands of deaths.

Both sides did make it partisan. One side dismissed it as a hoax, and the other was accused of hysteria. Both bought an irrational amount of toilet paper.

You're still talking about how it only affects the consumer. You're not holding the parents accountable for feeding it to their kids. You're not holding the CEO's accountable for actively peddling it to billions of customers for 70+ years.

Sure, one hits a lot faster than the other, but that doesn't make it more catastrophic.

Trump never said it was a hoax. You hear what you want to hear. He said the MSM and the dems were making it out to be more than it is. It remains to be seen who turns out to be right. I disagree with my conservative friends here. I still think the worst is yet to come. The numbers are currently on their argument's side right now. It will play out in the next few weeks.

Do you hold the drug lords accountable for the garbage they ship around the world? I thought you were for allowing people to consume what they wanted? Again your lead from the Chinese wet markets to US fast food is a leap of monstrous proportion.

You're missing my point. I'm highlighting xenophobic hypocrisy that started this thread. Go back and read the first few posts.

I hold the drug lords accountable for the existence of the DEA. Lol.
