Let's say this thing just doesn't come right down. Someone posted something earlier that one in the 90s took days to fall. So if it takes that long it could fall anywhere. If it's harmless, it could be a weather balloon, why not just wait until it's over the ocean. Makes sense to me.

It's been fun to meme, but I really don't mind it. Seems like the bigger threat is just giving China whatever they want while they release a lab made virus.

I'm sure pro's and con's were weighed on when/if/ to shoot it down. you guys don't have the intel to make the decision so chill.

Not a lot of “Intel” to consider. An unmanned air vehicle from a hostile power made an unauthorized entry into U.S. sovereign air space. Shoulda been shot down over the Aleutians when it entered our airspace.
