Chinese spy balloon hovering over Montana

They're not making themselves look any better.

SURPRISE SURPRISE!!!!

BREAKING: General Mattis Says He "HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF CCP BALLOON" Flying Over US During His Watch as Secretary of Defense under Trump - ANOTHER LIE EXPOSED! (VIDEO)

General Mattis HAS NO KNOWLEDGE of a CCP spy balloon flying over the US during his watch!

Question: We’ve all been reading about the balloon. We’ve been watching its path.
General Mattis: I don’t mean to make light of it. But don’t worry that it suddenly was able to find things out that satellites up in lower orbit weren’t spotting already. You’ve gotta wonder was it stupidity or the left hand not knowing what the right hand were doing. Why did the Chinese have time to do it. I’m going to tell frankly young guys who want to make 4-star general… bucket of rocks. But in this case, I would still say it’s serious. And that I wouldn’t get overly worried about it. But there are some questions that we all as Americans need answers to. Did it really happen during past administrations? Because there isn’t anybody from the past administration who is aware of it. I’m not for the first two years of that administration. Now it’s possible that there are old radar tapes that show things. Now if you go back and you know what they look like. Now if you go back and look that isn’t an ice storm over the Aleutians, that was a balloon. But there are some answers that the American people are owed. And could we not have taken it down sooner? I mean NORAD has a lot of Canadian fighters up there intercepting Russian planes routinely.

Even better why not just release the proof? Put it out in public, what possible national security would be compromised?
Bingo. These guys are gonna hold onto this like gold, because even though they can't prove it, it's the only thing giving them peace to cover for racist Biden 🤣

Why does everything boil down to Trump vs Biden? Doesn’t matter who is in office, this should’ve never have happened.
Agreed. National security should transcend politics. However, every time we receive word of the latest security breach, it's only analyzed in terms of political repercussions and it's value as a weapon. There is never any bi-partisan dialogue about corrective measures.

If you can't "rule out" that a foreign power's piece of tech isn't 100% benign then the best thing to do is let it traverse the whole %*#$@^$ country? If there's even the slightest possibility it has even the potential to do harm you knock the damn thing down before it's even in our airspace.
The fact that it wasn’t pinging a transponder and they never coordinated flight clearance doesn’t help either. Should have been shot down one foot inside the 12nm boundary

Biden admin's closed-door briefing on Chinese spying blasted by top Republican as 'unspecific, insufficient'

The classified briefing was "unspecific, insufficient and backward-looking," failing to adequately address the Chinese spy balloon that flew across the U.S. last week, according to Issa's office

"What I took away from this briefing confirmed that this administration and not the previous one had plenty of advance warning of an escalating Chinese espionage program, failed to act, and has now humiliated this country on the world stage," Issa, who serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told Fox News Digital.

"U.S. officials have acknowledged they were monitoring this balloon since it flew over the Aleutian Islands – where it could have easily been shot down over water," House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said in a statement. "This balloon should have never been allowed to enter U.S. airspace."

The whole "Trump ignored China spy balloons" story is a transparent lie

"After the Biden administration disclosed last week that a suspected Chinese spy balloon was hovering over Montana, the Pentagon said that similar balloon incidents had occurred during the Trump administration. In response, former Trump administration Defense Secretary Mark Esper told CNN on Friday that he was “surprised” by that statement.

“I don’t ever recall somebody coming into my office or reading anything that the Chinese had a surveillance balloon above the United States,” he said.

Former President Donald Trump also said on Truth Social this week that reports of Chinese balloons transiting the US during his administration were “fake disinformation.”

The Biden administration official now says the incidents were not discovered until after the Trump administration had already left. But the official did not say how those incidents were discovered or when.

CNN reported on Sunday that the Pentagon had briefed Congress of previous Chinese surveillance balloons during the Trump administration that flew near Texas and Florida."

Right.

No way in hell do I think Canada didn't notice a giant balloon flying in their airspace. FFS, IF by some chance NORAD wasn't tracking this thing well in advance, then our national security is more threatened than I realized. The politicians are playing on the rubes not understanding how this works. If it's in the air, NORAD is tracking it. This was not some "stealth" balloon with advanced technology that made it invisible to radar.

As for the claims this happened under Trump, where is the proof? Show me some actual proof and I'll believe it, otherwise, it screams like Democrats playing politics and deflecting. Trump had his own screw ups. This administration needs to stop deflecting and own their screw ups. This balloon should have been shot down while it was still over the Pacific. They have no problem calling it a "spy balloon", so they willingly put national security at risk by failing to take action sooner.
My research today and after interviewing 17 unnamed sources indicates all 3 Trumpalloons were shot down over the Aleutians.

I'm convinced half the trick to being a leftist, is learning to beleive your own made up lies.

They're not dumb by any means. Released the statement about three previous incursions during the DT administration and let the MSM run with it, which is what they have done. You should hear what they are repeating to their listening audience on the liberal XM radio shows.

Apparently, they didn't tell anyone but unnamed sources. That guy seems to be pretty damn popular.
Yeah ... I tend to think it's a crock too.

... and the Department of Defense has botched the message to the American people with comically vague statements. This was how they approached The Havana Syndrome as well.

I can tell you one corrective measure should be de-politicizing the Pentagon and all top military brass. We've seen more and more where the military is engaging in political games. That BS needs to stop.

So we should rely on the expertise of some random dude who spends his time whining on a message board over the expertise of a NORAD Commander. Now that would be absolute unconscionable idiocy.

If there was one thing I learned during the Trump years, a majority of people will suspend disbelief in an attempt to confirm their biases. The Trumputin saga is the best example. Every week or two there was a new outrageous allegation. Most of them never even passed a sniff test for being possible. Yet people who wanted to believe were happy to ignore that and cling to anonymous source or an MSNBC reporter said so.

And when one was proven to be untrue, a new outrageous allegation was all that was needed to keep the dream alive.

Same with these three balloons. It makes absolutely no sense, but if you want to believe it’s true, some anonymous Pentagon source has said it and you can rationalize the improbability away. Even when people who would have known deny it, they can move on to “we just discovered it a few days ago!”

Remember these people stand in the same grocery store line as you. They drive next to you on the road. They are everywhere.

Can’t we all just agree to nuke em??

For real, how hard is to agree this entire incident was a massive **** up? It’s bad for perception and bad that China was able to collect additional intelligence. It’s a giant **** you from China.

How hard is this? It doesn’t involve Trump. It doesn’t involve Reagan. It’s a big deal.

Now if I wanted to layer in a political angle it would be questioning whether the Biden families “business” interests in China influenced his decision making. 🧐
