Before you assume that it will help us you might want to check the replay of the Boise-UGA game. EDIT....I say that because ESPN is reporting that Oregon will go after Peterson.

alot of teams have made offers to Peterson, why will he leave for Oregon?

Chip has already proved that his game doesn't work against the SEC so why doesn't he just go on to Tampa and prove that it won't work against the NFL either....

I'm not saying he will. But alot of schools didnt have Phil Knight telling Peterson to fill in any number he wants on a check. If this had happened a month earlier, Wilcox, Sirmon and Lupui might be joining Peterson at Oregon.....that would be nasty. I know I'm speculating.

If Tampa really does try this, they are telling everyone that they are not serious about winning football games for the next three years.

Of the 4 stars committed to Oregon, we offered one that I could see, so probably not a real chance at stealing any of these guys.

This is probably the 2nd worst hire of the last ten years in the NFL.

Petrino, Spurrier, Saban, Carroll (1st time)

I thought all of those hires with the exception of Spurrier was good at the time. I thought Spurrier would be zjc's number one...

Chan Gailey of the Bills is #1 in my book, with Jim Caldwell coming in at #3.

...however I can't argue with Chan Gailey. No idea what Buffalo was thinking.

Who knows. I feel like Chan thought Buffalo U was calling and it wasn't until the interview that he realized it was the pro team. The man just got canned from GT for God's sake.

I remember when a certain coach from Utah came to the SEC with his new innovative offense, nobody thought it would work. Two national titles later......

I was one of the few saying urban's offense would succeed before he went to gainesville. The offense chip runs cannot and does not work against teams with superior d lines.

Caldwell was already in Indy and he took his team to the Superbowl. No one was taking that team anywhere this year.

Doesn't matter. Jim Caldwell is not a good coach, and in now way should he have been hired. He was hired b/c he was recommened by Tony Dungy, who was doing him a favor and not thinking about the future of the franchise. Was a dumb hire.

I have tried to get people on twitter to understand this a good Dline will kill his offense...in the NFL all the Dline's are at least respectable & the saints just got spags as their DC the falcons are solid...& the panthers have another year with Cam dumb hire by my bucs
