All we need now is Frost to Nebraska and Gruden to the Hill. Let Florida get the scraps.

We would have paid him much more and no tax. :)

Maybe hid did us a solid...he apparently thinks we're a good job...(can' find a link so sue me)...then he courts possibly our most hated rival...and LEAVES THEM WITH THEIR DICKS IN THE WIND!!!!!

Who looks worse in their coaching hire?
Especially WHEN JG is announced...

Gonna Be fukking epic!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basketball tourney in Bahamas more important!

Here's how John Currie's To Do list stacks, from #1 most important to #10 utterly inconsequential:

#1 - Sign Gruden last Wednesday
...
#4 - Support B-ball teams by going to Bahamas and Cancun
...
#10 - Ignore Chip Kelly because Do Not Want (because Do Not Need, see #1)

And this is how your comment makes no sense. :)

That would be true only if he was never offered a few million more dollars to come here.

The man is already rich. He cares more about his reputation than making more money. His image got tarnished in the NFL and he wants to be remembered as a top coach. Easiest way to do that is to take a job in the Pac 12, a conference he already knows how to recruit and fit in. West coast culture is completely different than Knoxville or Gainesville. Also he gets to live in Beverly Hills, not many places that compare with that around here.

What a steal at 23 mil for 5 years! That's Butch Jones level money in L.A. where cost of living is about 50 percent higher than here in East Tennessee. The first hire we should make is to replace Currie with UCLA's Athletic Director.

Kelly wanted no part of the SEC, he does not do well against teams that play defense. His offense will not be what it was at Oregon, the shine is off that penny. What scares me is if Florida gets Frost or Kiffin.

5 years 24.3 mil ........a lot less that I thought..unless a lot is given by their big donor that Chip knows well

Echoing what has already been said here, but with Florida’s history of success with high speed, spread offenses, I was terrified of Kelly in the swamp. He might have been a flop, but he could have been the second coming of Spurrier as well. And if Kiffin goes to UF, then we get an opportunity every year to beat the H*** out of Lane Kiffin!

Kelly to the west coast makes the most sense for everyone except Florida, so I’m thrilled.

That is ancient history. Florida hasn't had much offense in many years.
